The fall of the former Syrian regime marked a turning point in the history of the Islamic Ummah. It confirmed that Allah (swt) is always with the oppressed, that Muslim revolutions are not dead, and that the project of change, championed by the Ummah's sons and daughters to revive Islam and resume conveying its risaalah (message) to the world, has not ceased. This is despite the ongoing struggle to halt its expansion, and extinguish its flames, in the context of the civilizational struggle against the materialistic capitalist ideology that has decimated both crops and people. This is especially true given that Syria is one of the countries of Bilad al-Sham, the heart of the world. The conflict that has been occurring there for years represents a civilizational struggle between the Islamic Ummah, striving to restore its role and state, and the forces of global capitalist colonialism and its states, led by the United States. There is no doubt that the fall of this regime represents a significant step on the path to change, brought about by divine intervention, with which Allah (swt) honored the oppressed Muslims of the ash-Sham, who have been attacked by both near and far, by so-called friends and enemies alike.

The legendary steadfastness over the course of fourteen years was a turning point in the conflict, a crucial phase of which ended with the swift and humiliating withdrawal of Iran and its influence, unimaginably, and the defeat of the Hezb (party) of Iran within Lebanon, and its withdrawal from the arena of military conflict. Both Iran and its Hezb within Lebanon constituted a spearhead and an important tool in combating the project of the Islamic Ummah, through which it sought to restore its authority and establish its state.

The dismantling of the most prominent military tools in confronting the Blessed Revolution of Syria will have significant repercussions for the region, especially since the revolution in Syria had clear and specific principles in its call to overthrow the regime and establish a Khilafah (Caliphate) on its ruins. This alarmed the entire world, which mobilized all its forces to plot against the revolution and stand against it, and used the dirtiest tools to combat it militarily through sectarian mobilization, which had a profound impact on the revolution. The Turkish regime, which is politically aligned with the American orbit, also played a major role, especially after it seized control of the decision-making process of the revolution.

The Turkish regime intervened in Syria under American guidance and pressure to control the revolution’s decisions, preventing it from spiraling out of control, and overturning international will and decisions, and to protect secularism from collapse in ash-Sham, through deceit and trickery, following the failure of the Iranian military in its role.

The de-escalation zones and the outcomes of international conferences had a significant impact on the decline of the Syrian revolution. Iran and Russia were able to seize control of Aleppo in 2016, followed by subsequent collapses and surrender of areas in Ghouta, Homs, and Daraa, and, more recently, the northern Hama countryside and the eastern Idlib countryside in late 2019. The crimes and massacres that accompanied this were only a small part of what the Sednaya Prison witnessed. Putin later admitted that they would not have recaptured Aleppo, without his friend Erdogan, who did not utter a word. Reality speaks more truthfully than books and statements. Until the very last moment, just before the launch of the Operation Deterrence of Aggression, Erdogan continued to call on the Syrian street to come to Turkey in order to implement Resolution 2254, which guarantees the preservation of the secular regime in Syria. The Operation Deterrence of Aggression highlighted the deep-rootedness of the revolution in the souls of its sons, who set out as mujahideen to destroy the crumbling remnant factions of the former regime. The end of the battle was the fall of the former regime and the end of decades of injustice, tyranny, and criminality, the likes of which modern history had not witnessed.

Many believe that the outcome of the battles was greater than planned, thanks to the Grace of Allah (swt), who has blessed the heroism of the sincere mujahideen. It also appears that the Turkish regime is keen to maintain the secularism of the state in Syria, after the fall of the criminal regime, through the directives and advice it provides to the new administration in Damascus. This is all out of fear of the Islamist orientation of the mujahideen of the ash-Sham Revolution and the Khilafah (Caliphate) project in Syria, which has long been a source of concern for US decision-making circles, who seek to eliminate it by any means possible. This is especially true now that it has gained widespread popular support in Syria, and among the revolutionaries and mujahideen. Therefore, the Turkish regime, through its various tools, has pushed to prevent the project’s success and to restrict its advocates.

Today, we see America, the decision-maker, striving to replicate the so-called Turkish model in Syria. This is done with a media glare and sweeping deception, in concert with the Arab States, especially the Gulf States and Egypt. This is done with extreme precision, and with a torrent of justifications, as is the case with Turkey. This is done to lead the people of ash-Sham down a path far removed from the source of their pride and dignity, which they seek and for which they have shed a torrent of blood, in order to restore Allah (swt)’s rule on earth, attain His Pleasure, and change the course of history.

The Turkish development model, which has been exported to the Muslim World for two decades as a service to international interests and the global order, is currently being replicated in Syria. This model is being replicated through a democratic civil regime, and a form of soft secularism, using those America wants to install in power who are acceptable to it. These individuals hold dubious roles and possess the ability to shift stances, shift loyalties, violate Islamic law, and commit numerous crimes against revolutionaries and mujahideen. This role could be played only after the Assad regime collapsed and its leader escaped. Therefore, pressure is being exerted on the current administration to achieve America’s goals of preventing the rule of Islam and the establishment of a Khilafah in Syria. This is accompanied by media and diplomatic squabbling between the Turkish regime and Arab states, which appear to be hawkish at this stage, seeking to secure the greatest possible concessions, in exchange for recognizing the current administration and providing support and acceptance in later stages for Syria’s readmission to the Arab League and, later, the United Nations.

The plots of regional powers, and the international order, to delay the return of Islam to power will, in shaaAllah, backfire on them, because we know for certain that the capitalist system bears the seeds of its own demise, within its very foundations. The inevitable result will be nothing less than a resounding collapse. Muslims today are not the same as they were a hundred years ago. Awareness is the hallmark of this era, and it is what cost the West the ability to burn the cards it had prepared for decades, in a few years. Just as the steadfastness of the people of ash-Sham exposed the axis of deception and resistance, so will anything less than it. The destruction carried out by revolutions, after the demolition of movements has reached advanced stages, after the Ummah’s political awareness has grown significantly. No conspirator here, or deceiver there, can withstand it. Development that is not built on sound principles, a solid basis, and a firm foundation is easily uprooted by the winds of change. The manifestations of development embraced by those seeking to replicate the Turkish model, whose images and dazzle fill every place, are belied by the facts on the ground, and will soon collapse on the heads of those who built them.

Amidst the political analysis and the entanglement of actors involved in Syrian affairs, we must not forget the role of the Jewish entity. At a time when the Ummah has revolted to change its circumstances and rise again from the rubble of the coercive secular regimes that ruled with an iron fist for a dark century, the Gulf States, led by Saudi Arabia and the UAE, are leading the normalization project with the entity, striving with all their might to promote it and integrate it into the region. This is despite the fact that it is doomed to fail due to the Jewish mentality, and the rejection of Muslims, who view the issue of the Blessed Land of Palestine as an issue of the Aqeedah, firmly established in the awareness of the Ummah by the Noble Quran, an issue that cannot be ignored. However, these countries—along with Egypt and Jordan—are proceeding down the path of normalization and, after the fall of Assad, aspire to include Syria in this subservient camp. The Ummah as a whole rejects the existence of the Jewish entity and considers it a colonialist cancer that must be eliminated. The Arab agent rulers are responding with normalization, thus many Muslims fall into the clutches of the suspicious, dubious Iranian role, which the Blessed Revolution in ash-Sham exposed and erased from the awareness of the Ummah. The Al-Aqsa Flood also stripped Iran of the false slogans it had been hiding behind.

The role played by the Arab regimes and the Turkish regime in maintaining the secularism of the state in Syria, is the theme of the next stage in Syria, under the watchful eyes of America, and the surveillance of the Jewish entity, in an attempt to eliminate the constants of the revolution of ash-Sham, contain it and direct it towards reconciliation with its Arab environs for the sake of stability. This is under the pretext of rebuilding the state that they all want to be subordinate and in harmony with the stances of the regional countries, in order to stand guard over, and protect, the Jewish entity, as well as its stability and the stability of the unjust international order. This is at a time when the cauldron of the Islamic Ummah is boiling to achieve the process of real change, the change that overthrows the Sykes-Picot nationalistic borders and reunifies the Ummah upon what Allah (swt), His Messenger (saw) and the believers love. This is one of the indirect goals of what is being marketed in Syria, because of its great positive psychological impact on the Ummah, which rejoiced from one end to the other, at the victory of the revolution and the overthrow of the tyrant Al-Assad. The Ummah hopes for the people of ash-Sham to be among those who repair what the agent rulers have corrupted, and for ash-Sham to be a starting point for the liberation (tahrir) of the Islamic Ummah, from the nightmare of the secular and nationalistic, ignorant regimes. The Ummah hopes that the people of ash-Sham restore its civilizational role, with what it possesses of a huge legacy and a wide history in repelling campaigns that attempted to eradicate Islam.

Ash-Sham was the protective shield of the Ummah, rising each time from the rubble, offering sacrifices, resetting the clock, and correcting the course of history. One of the most truthful things said about this matter, is that ash-Sham has always been a crossroads of civilizations, and it now stands at a crossroads of history. Either ash-Sham rises up and restores Shariah as its beacon, so the Ummah will rise with it and engage in the battle of awareness to remove from its shoulders decades of tyranny and oppressive rule, or it will be a failed attempt, added to the list of previous failed attempts.

However, what is certain is that ash-Sham is the heart of the Abode of Islam (Dar ul-Islam), and that the people of ash-Sham, especially the Mujahideen, must remain steadfast with the command of Allah (swt), and refuse to submit to desires and whims. They must continue to sacrifice, with awareness and understanding of the consequences, until ash-Sham is restored as the heart of the Abode of the faithful, and its green Ghouta pastures are restored as the bridgehead stables of the Mujahideen, who impatiently await liberating Palestine, and the courtyards of Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa, which will not be liberated and restored except by the Khilafah Rashidah (Rightly-Guided Caliphate) on the Method of the Prophethood. And for this, let those who do good deeds, work.
