Al-Waie Magazine: Issues 462, 463, and 464

Thirty-ninth Year, Rajab - Sha'ban - Ramadan 1446 AH, corresponding to January - February - March 2025 CE

Allah (swt) has willed that the last few months be months full of unique developments, and events on the global level in general, and on the level of the Ummah and the Arab region in particular, generating a new reality, and imposing transformations that have undoubtedly swept the entire region.

Under Trump’s leadership, America is seeking to impose a new world order and is preparing the ground for it. It has ignited issues in several regions for this purpose, altering decades-old alliances, making changes at the domestic level of the United States, and changes affecting its neighbors in the American continent, and its allies in the Old Continent. It is planning new relations and innovative policies regarding the Russian bear and its war on Ukraine, the growing Chinese threat, and international and UN institutions and bodies, which has placed the world on the brink of a new phase in international relations and the balance of power.

On the other hand, the Islamic Ummah was struck by events that forced it to reconsider its calculations, whilst it boiled like water in a cauldron. The Al-Aqsa Flood and the war on Gaza were events full of lessons and morals, as they intensified the conflict in the Middle East in an unexpected way. Related events accelerated: from Palestine, where the legendary patience and steadfastness of the people of Gaza shattered the prestige of the Jews and the pride of America, to Lebanon, where the military power of Iran's Hezb was eliminated in a matter of days, to Iran, which left the region dragging its tails of disappointment in a strikingly short period, to Syria, whose former regime was completely eradicated, to Jordan, whose regime is now feeling its throne shaken day and night, and to Egypt, which is on the verge of exploding in the face of the regime. At the same time, the Ummah is experiencing a movement in ash-Sham, hoping that it will result in a change that will lead the region towards Islam, or be the first fruits of the Ummah’s restoration of its authority.

Amidst this very difficult labor, the Ummah hopes for relief from its Lord and the fulfillment of His promise to establish the state of the Khilafah Rashidah (Rightly-Guided Caliphate) on the Method of Prophethood, and to fight and kill the Jews. Voices rose, and minbars resounded, calling on the Ummah’s armies, officers and generals to support their Deen, Ummah and issues. The eyes of the Ummah stared intently at its ulema and Daees, accounting them over their role, and the trust that Allah (swt) had entrusted to them. These were truly months pregnant with changes.

That’s why we’ve been keen to prepare this special issue to cover the most prominent ideas and issues that will enlighten readers, and answer the questions of many who monitor developments and changes, and wait for someone to confirm their words and opinions.

The general section of the magazine, is one in which we addressed the issue of ash-Sham and the ongoing movement there, the secularist proposals and their conflict with Islam, and the extent of the ability of sincere Muslims to implement Shariah. We devoted a special section to the issue of ruling by Islam, its rulings, method and possibility, and another section to the issue of Palestine and Gaza and the repercussions of the Al-Aqsa Flood and the war of extermination on the entire Ummah, and a section that sheds light on the status of ulema and their desired role, to placing them before their responsibilities towards their Ummah and Deen. We also devoted a special section to the media, especially the emerging media based on social media, due to its importance that has clearly emerged in recent events, and we shed light on mechanisms for exploiting the media to serve the Ummah’s project. Then we concluded the issue with a section about the bright future that we see coming soon, to provide the reader with a picture of the signs and facts that are now imposing themselves, and making the desired change, that is just around the corner.

We ask Allah (swt) to reward everyone who contributed to the production and preparation of this special issue, and to make it a contribution to the project of revival and change.
