A delegation of elders and Hizb ut Tahrir members to the Ministry of Education in Bethlehem concerning the incident in the School of Husan
A delegation from the village of Husan and some of the elders of Bethlehem and Hizb ut Tahrir members to the Ministry of Education on Tuesday, 11/03/2014, to discuss the incident in the Husan Secondary School on the past Saturday for an activity by one of the institutions that took place at the school, to emphasize the parents' rejection of what happened to prevent the recurrence of such activities.

The institution had organized Saturday's activity at the town's Secondary School for Males which sought to disseminate their western ideas, and promote a climate of gender mixing, and work to remove barriers between girls and young people, especially in adolescence, especially since the crew of the organization was comprised of 11 girls and two men , which raised the concern of the townspeople, led by elders and Hizb ut Tahrir members, who visited to school to denounce the activity and call for its termination of the activity, which subsequently happened as a result of the visit.

The delegation stressed that what happened on Saturday by dignitaries and activists expressed the position of the people of the country. And regarding some of the media statements portrayals of what happened, such as the storming of the school, threats and abuse of girls are false, but the work of the elders and the townspeople was dignified and distinctive in good handling and disposition of astuteness with those who worked to terminate the initiative.

For his part, Mr. Jabr, Deputy Director for the Ministry of Education, stated to the delegation of parents and elders that the Ministry of Education understands the parents' concerns regarding such activities and will take that into account in the upcoming times, and emphasized the inaccuracy of what some of the media of the statements attributed to them.
