Shabab of Hizb ut Tahrir/Wilayah Sudan organized a protest before the police station in Northern Khartoum and National Intelligence Security Service building to protest the arrests of the Shabab of Hizb ut Tahrir because they distributed Hizb ut Tahrir/Wilayah Sudan leaflets under the title, "The Rise in Fuel Prices is a Step to Crush the Ordinary People and Creates More Poor." The security forces dispersed the protest by force and arrested a number of the Shabab rather than releasing the detainees. The protest then moved on to the region of Kalakla to stand before the police station; after the protest when the Shabab were making their way back, their buses were obstructed by security forces vehicles and tens of the members of Hizb ut Tahrir were arrested.
