The Chief of Army Staff of Bangladesh Army General Aziz Ahmed made his first foreign six-day tour in India on July 31, 2018 after assuming office. He met high-ranking dignitaries and visited important military installations at Agra and Lucknow. Choosing enemy India to be the first country to visit is perceived as more of a ‘homage to the master’ than as something that will help strengthen ‘mutual trust’ (!).
