Official Spokesman of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Bangladesh Mohiuddin Ahmed issued a press release today in reaction to the announcement of the schedule for election 2008. In his statement Mohiuddin Ahmed said the current elite, the government system and the election process is a total failure. For the past 37 years Bangladesh has seen democratic rule, dictatorial rule, military rule, and emergency rule. The truth about these systems is that they are all borrowed from the imperialists and characterized with an inherent weakness to produce the correct leadership and government system for the country. Only the Khilafah "Caliphate" will establish in power the correct leadership which is sincere and responsible; a leadership which has not been tainted with the corrupt political establishment; a leadership from other than the current elite; a leadership that seeks to make the country's economy strong and secure by properly utilizing the wealth and not stealing them; a leadership who do not serve Washington, London and Delhi; a leadership that is not characterised by defeated thinking, and a colonial mentality; rather has a vision about Bangladesh's role in the region and the world. Mohiuddin Ahmed said only the Khilafah "Caliphate" will establish a strong stable government in the country capable of securing the basic needs of the people, developing a self-reliant economy and protecting national security. He urged the people to reject the imperialist dominated political-economic system and the current ruling elite and work for re-establishing the Khilafah "Caliphate".

Mohiuddin Ahmed said Hizb ut-Tahrir in Bangladesh will be holding of series of events across the country from 07^th November on the theme of ‘Khilafah "Caliphate"- the Only Correct Leadership and Government System for the Country.'
