Press Release
Besides bringing Tyrant Hasina to Justice for the Pilkhana Massacre, India must be officially declared as an 'Enemy State'
On Sunday (August 25), a murder case has been filed against ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and 12 others over the death of Pilkhana massacre case. The case was filed by the son of the then Sub-Assistant Director Md Abdur Rahim, an accused in the case of the 2009 massacre at the Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) headquarters in Pilkhana, Dhaka. The complaint stated that Abdur Rahim was also arrested as an accused in the BDR massacre case and was killed by injection on July 29, 2010. The complaint further alleged that Sheikh Hasina, the leader of the 14-party alliance including the Bangladesh Awami League, planned the killings of 74 people, including 57 army officers, at the then BDR headquarters in Pilkhana on February 25 and 26, 2009, by hiring foreign agents (pointing to the enemy state India). Besides, families of the victims of the Pilkhana massacre gathered at Dhaka's Mohakhali few days ago in a press conference where they accused Sheikh Hasina for the massacre. They have also boldly hinted at India's involvement in the massacre and stated that Hasina government’s narrative about a dispute over Dal-Bhat (rice-and-lentils) program by the BDR soldiers were false and were used to mislead the public.
O People! Since the day of the Pilkhana massacre, Hizb ut Tahrir has always been by your side to expose the conspiracy behind the killing of the country's bright army officers by India, with the collaboration of Sheikh Hasina. This party was the first in Bangladesh that took the courageous stance to reveal US-UK-India’s heinous plot to weaken our military through the Pilkhana massacre. On 28th February 2009, the party issued a leaflet which stated that the massacre of the military officers was part of a ‘long term plot carried out by India and her agents inside and outside the government.' Due to the party’s extensive public engagement with thousands of leaflets being distributed, public circles and speeches being hold amid arrests and persecution, strong public opinion were generated amongst the public. Fearing this, Hasina government soon took steps to desperately suppress the activities of Hizb ut Tahrir politically, as well as through the legal system and the courts.
O People! We, Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Bangladesh, call upon you to take the two necessary steps to protect the sovereignty and security of our country. You must remember that it is ‘not enough’ to merely file cases against tyrant Hasina or to just allege India for the massacre. Let’s not forget that the Pilkhana massacre was an international conspiracy against our sovereignty plotted by India and executed by Hasina. So, firstly, you must demand this government to ‘officially’ designate India as our ‘enemy state’ so that the government breaks all the military and other ties with her immediately and make India to be seen as a threat to our security from now on. And, most importantly, you should not forget that the only true solution to end US-British-Indian influence and interference in our country, rise from this disgrace imposed upon us by the Kuffar and Mushrikeen, and assume a courageous stance in order to restore Ummah’s might and dignity is to bring back the promised Khilafah (Caliphate) on the method of Prophethood. Na'im ibn Hammad in Al-Fitan reports that Abu Hurayrah (ra) said that the Messenger (saw) said:
"A group of you will conquer India, Allah will open for them [India] until they come with its kings chained - Allah having forgiven their sins - when they return back [from India], they will find Ibn Maryam in Syria."
