In a Seminar organized by Bangladesh Policy Discourse (BPD), Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Bangladesh was invited to discuss on the topic “Pilkhana Massacre: Hasina and India's Conspiracy”

Today, on Sunday, September 01, 2024 at 3 PM, a panel discussion on “Pilkhana Murder: Hasina and India's Conspiracy” was organized by Bangladesh Policy Discourse was organized at Nasrul Hamid Auditorium, Dhaka Reporters Unity. A member of Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Bangladesh Mohammad Jubair gave a speech on behalf of the invited party.

At the beginning of his speech, Mr. Mohammad Jubair respectfully remembered the 57 meritorious army officers who were victims of the brutal killings in Pilkhana on February 25, 2009 and many others later. He also respectfully remembered those who gave their lives for speaking out against Hasina's 15 years of misrule and oppression and in the latest student mass movement and prays for the forgiveness of their souls. In his speech, he said the following.

Last August 17, 2024, at the press conference held at the Rawa Club of Mahakhali in the Capital titled "Demanding for the trial of the killing of 57 army officers and 17 civilians in Pilkhana", the families of the slain army officers made it clear that the Pilkhana killings were part of an international conspiracy and many in the Hasina government, including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, were directly involved. Hizb ut Tahrir applauds this bold move by the army family and fully supports the demand for justice for the killings.

We would like to remind the army family and the people that Hizb ut Tahrir was the first party that bravely exposed the Hasina government's plot to the people immediately after the incidence. On February 28, 2009 CE, Hizb ut Tahrir issued a leaflet titled “Protest Indian Conspiracy to Destroy Army and BDR and Government Inaction”, which read in part: We all know Indian conspiracy to divide and weaken the forces concerned with the country's defense. . It is clear in the course of events that this so-called insurgency is part of a long-term plan involving India and pro-Indian forces inside and outside the government. The Mushrik enemy state and her allies will benefit from the killing of the talented officers of the army. Analysis of the situation shows that the ruling Awami League government has played a mysterious role since the beginning of the incident. In such a critical situation of national security, why were initially inexperienced representatives sent who ensured the safety of some insurgents? However, they did not ensure the security of the life and property of the army personnel and their families. Why did the government hastily announce amnesty without ensuring the security of more than one hundred and fifty army personnel and their families? Taking advantage of the announcement, they went missing for one and a half days, there were extensive looting and the families of army officers were tortured. Were not the killers allowed to escape by asking the residents around the BDR headquarters to evacuate and disconnecting the power supply on the afternoon of February 26?

As a result, during the distribution of leaflets on 1-2 March 2009, including 31 leaders and workers of our party and 2 others later a total 33 people were arrested. Then on March 27, 2009, on Friday, the police baton-charged a protest demonstration and march on "Indian conspiracy in the killing of army personnel, the involvement of Indian cronies in the government and the arrest of 33 leaders and activists of Hizb ut Tahrir, Bangladesh" at the North Gate of Baitul Mukarram, where about 150 leaders-activists were injured, and 10 people were arrested from the demonstration site.

The tyrannical Hasina government did not stop there, and misused the administrative and judicial powers to ban the activities of Hizb ut Tahrir and indulged in massive repression on the party's leaders and workers.

Hasina's conspiracy against the country's army only started with the Pilkhana murder; but that was not the end. The traitor Hasina regularly abducted, arrested and dismissed loyal army officers of the country who stood up for Islam, the country and national interests, as these army officers were the main obstacle to normalizing relations with the Indian military. Hizb ut Tahrir also protested against the conspiracies perpetuated by Hasina against the army, ignoring the repressive policies of the Hasina government. Hizb ut Tahrir has never compromised with the tyrannical Hasina government. All conspiracies against the country, Islam and the military by Hasina have been exposed and challenged uncompromisingly and fearlessly before the nation.

Hasina took such a stand against the army out of sheer loyalty to her imperialist masters. As you know, in 2008, the Hasina assumed authority due to a compromise of US-UK-India. The US is pursuing a policy of preventing the resurgence of the Khilafah (Caliphate) in the region, including Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia and Malaysia, and at the same time containing China. And that is why it has established strategic relations with India, so that it can strengthen her position in the region and her control over the Muslim states in the region. So they want to free India's hands by resolving the long standing issues with India. All the obstacles in the way of realization of this goal and those who are exposing this blue-print of theirs or speaking against it have been severely suppressed. And that is why our brilliant and brave army officers were killed in Pilkhana and Hasina assisted in that barbaric killing, because these army officers were the main obstacles in the way of establishing normal relations with the Indian Army.

You must remember that merely filing a murder case against Hasina or accusing India of murder is 'not enough'. We must not forget that the Pilkhana massacre was an international conspiracy against the country's sovereignty planned by India and executed by Hasina. Therefore, along with Hasina's trial, we have to work towards this goal so that the country's defense system does not come under such threats and such brutal murders and conspiracies are not seen again. We, Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Bangladesh, call upon all to take the following necessary steps to protect the sovereignty and security of the country,

1. Hasina and her accomplices should be tried and given exemplary punishment. To this end we have to give unified political programs to strengthen our demands.

2. To reflect the aspirations of the people of the country, India should be immediately identified as an enemy state and all anti-Islamic and anti-state treaties and MoUs signed with India should be cancelled.

3. A far-reaching and long-term plan to bring India back under Muslim rule must be adopted to permanently stop all aggressions; because it was only during the rule of Muslims, the people of this region lived a happy and prosperous life in unity regardless of religion, caste and caste.
