Russia Persecutes Hizb ut Tahrir Members even in Sweden

On 25^th January 2017 Russian media stated that the head of the Russian Interior Ministry in the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Hohorin reported at a meeting on the results of his department’s work in 2016: initiating criminal cases against several Hizb ut Tahrir members who are of Russian citizenship living at the moment in Sweden, and shortly prior their relatives’ apartments were searched, and other operational activities took place. Hohorin described the party members “a group of Tatarstan natives living in Sweden and propagating radical actions among the Russian-speaking Internet audience”.

The Russian authorities raised criminal cases against Rustam Akhmedov, Ilnur Aminov, Lenar Galimov and his wife Laysan. Apparently, the alleged pretext for the prosecution was a public activity of the above-mentioned Hizb ut Tahrir members. After leaving Russia, they have continued their activities in exposing the crimes of the Russian regime by raising public awareness including producing videos, participating in interviews and being active in social networks.

Russian authorities continue to persecute Hizb ut Tahrir members even after they have emigrated to another country. Moreover, the security forces in Russia do not just institute criminal cases against Hizb ut Tahrir members who left the country, but execute an endless campaign of harassment against their relatives, and then loudly reporting on their “achievements”, calling it a fight against terrorism! This is the only tool in their bankrupt policies: bunch of lies and fabrications which do not withstand the scrutiny of evidence.

Yet all their efforts have been in vain, their lies cannot hide the bold truth: the whole world knows that Hizb ut Tahrir, in following the methodology of the Prophet Mohammad (saw), has never resorted to violence in carrying the intellectual-political struggle aimed at resuming the Islamic way of life by establishing the Khilafah "Caliphate" Rashidah State upon the methodology of the Prophethood in the Muslim lands.

We ask Allah (swt) to hasten the day when Russia will be forced to abandon its anti-Islamic policies, all Muslims unjustly imprisoned by the Russian authorities will be released, and they do not have to leave their homelands and the loved ones in search of security!

Allah Almighty says:

﴿وَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ اللَّهَ غَافِلًا عَمَّا يَعْمَلُ الظَّالِمُونَ ۚ إِنَّمَا يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ لِيَوْمٍ تَشْخَصُ فِيهِ الْأَبْصَارُ﴾

“And never think that Allah is unaware of what the wrongdoers do. He only delays them for a Day when eyes will stare [in horror]”[14:42]
