On the 3rd of March 2013, the women of Hizb ut Tahrir/ Malaysia will host their first national women's conference. It will be held in Kuala Lumpur, under the title, "Upholding the Establishment of Shariah and Khilafah "Caliphate"" and will include local and foreign speakers.

On Thursday 14th February 2013, the BBC, CNN and other media outlets reported that NATO airstrikes killed 10 civilians, including 4 women and 5 children during a joint Afghan-NATO operation in the Shigal district of the northeastern Kunar province of Afghanistan. Two years on from the Egyptian uprising, this historical event has not delivered the hopes and aspirations that the thousands of women who played a pivotal role to topple Mubarak and his regime. The women of Egypt today continue to live under the shadow of a military dictatorship that has brutally assaulted female protestors and violated their honour with impunity.

The International Rescue Committee revealed on Monday, 14th January 2013, that rape is being used as a tool of war in Syria which is the main reason Syrian families are fleeing to neighbouring countries. It described this heinous crime as a 'significant and disturbing feature of the Syrian civil war.'
