The Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir in the Wilayah of Jordan Organises an Iftaar for Journalists
(Translated)

A number of journalists and media proffesionals responded to the invitation of the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir Wilayah Jordan to attend an Iftaar on 20/06/2016, corresponding to the 15th of Ramadan 1437 AH. After breaking the fast and the performance of the Maghrib prayer, the head of the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir Wilayah of Jordan, Mamdooh Abu Sawa Qutaishat welcomed the journalists and media workers. He then spoke about the vicious attack against Islam as an Aqeedah and Ahkaam and against the Islamic Ummah whilst bringing the attention of the attendees to the political vacuum that the Islamic Ummah is living - a huge gap between the Ummah and its rulers. That is whilst he reiterated that Hizb ut Tahrir, which is working to resume the Islamic life, presents itself as a leader for the Islamic Ummah so that it works alongside it to fill this political vacuum with Islam and the true political entity of the Ummah represented in the Khilafah "Caliphate" State (Caliphate) upon the methodology of the Prophethood, wishing that the media and those working within the media completely take the side of the Ummah’s revival project and its vital issues. He announced the issuing by the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah Jordan of a book directed to the media and its workers that contains a project of the Muslim journalist’s charter and that falls within the campaign ‘The light of Allah will never be put out’ which Hizb ut Tahrir launched to stand in the face of the ferocious campaign being undertaken against Islam and its followers.

In addition, the head of the Media Office, his deputy, Ahmad Hasounah and Ali As-Samadi (Abu Marwan) answered questions from the invitees from which it became evident from their questions that they were keen for the voice of the Hizb to reach the Ummah. The Media Office, during the meeting, reiterated the importance of the role of the media workers to stand against those who fight against Islaam with the western thoughts whilst wearing the Islamic garb so as to deceive the Ummah and strike at their Aqeedah. It also reiterated that the raised address of the Hizb is only for the purpose of raising the level of the Ummah and to elevate it to the level that it must be upon. And that the Hizb works within the Ummah to unify it and it doesn’t work to fight or make Takfeer (declare apostasy) against political parties and groups that exist within the Ummah as they are brothers to us in respect to the Aqeedah. And that the work of the Hizb is only emulate the work of the Messenger (saw) to establish the rightly guided Khilafah "Caliphate" state and so that the Ummah adopts the civilizational project of the Hizb through which it will revive by the permission of Allah and restore its glory and honour of the past. Additionally, at the end of the session, the book issued by the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Jordan, which contains, as previously mentioned, ‘The Charter of the Muslim Journalist or Media worker’, was distributed to those who work in the media and journalists.
