The police have gunned down a man and his two children in a night raid in Kwale county South Coast of Kenya. Police claim 41-year-old Mohamed Rahma Mapenzi, alias Spanya, was a wanted terrorist who used his children as a human shield after lobbing a hand grenade at them when the officers stormed his house.

The Supreme Court has dismissed the application to review the Hijab case which was filed to quash a directive from St Paul Kiwanjani School to ban Muslim students from wearing the Hijab. The ruling has upheld the initial ruling made in January last year which set aside the court of appeal verdict which had sanctioned the wearing of Hijab in schools.
