Under Democracy, Even the Lowest Can Cheaply Fabricate against Allah (swt) His Prophet (saw) And the Believers

It was recently reported that a murtad woman by the name of Salma declared herself as a Prophet in Zanzibar. She even claimed to receive revelation and has a pocket of followers.

Allah says:

[كَبُرَتْ كَلِمَةً تَخْرُجُ مِنْ أَفْوَاهِهِمْ إِنْ يَقُولُونَ إِلاَّ كَذِبًا]

"Mighty is the word that comes from their mouths. They utter nothing but a lie" [TMQ 18:5]

This imposter comes at a time when only a few months ago, we saw a wave of Quran desecration both in Zanzibar and Dar-es-Salaam. This imposter murtad had even the boldness to declare her evil thoughts before the Mufti's office in Zanzibar.

Following this issue, Hizb ut Tahrir / East Africa has this to say:

Firstly is the hypocrisy of secular democratic governments which some Muslims mistakenly vote to power by downplaying their utter contradiction with the Aqeedah of Islam. This is despite the fact that majority of people in Zanzibar are Muslims. This is being done under the pretext of ‘freedom of worship'. However, when it comes to criticism of high level state officials or opposing state policy such as the issue of Union, the principle of ‘freedom of speech' is brushed aside and harsh measures are taken by the state to protect its policy or particular officials.

Secondly, this issue is being taken by some to further incite racial sentiments by stating that the imposter does not belong to Zanzibar. In this context, we would like to make clear two points. Firstly, racism has no place in Islam and secondly, the issue at hand is apostasy of a Muslim. Her tribe or place of origin has no consideration whatsoever. If the Khilafah "Caliphate" state was in place, her penalty would have been execution and not deportation to her village.

Thirdly, the boldness of this imposter to declare herself before the Mufti's office comes from her awareness that Muslims have no shield to protect Islam.

From the above basis, we would like again to remind Muslims to work with Hizb ut Tahrir to re-establish the Khilafah "Caliphate" so as to protect our Aqeedah. This issue of an imposter under Khilafah "Caliphate" would not be something for discussion that gives the imposter media coverage. She would have simply been given three days to repent, failure to which she would have then been executed.
