Obituary of a Dawah Carrier

[مِّنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رِجَالٌ صَدَقُوا مَا عَاهَدُوا اللهَ عَلَيْهِ فَمِنْهُم مَّن قَضَى نَحْبَهُ
وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَنتَظِرُ وَمَا بَدَّلُوا تَبْدِيلاً]

“Among the believers are men true to what they promised Allah. Among them is he who has fulfilled his vow [to the death], and among them is he who awaits [his chance]. And they did not alter [the terms of their commitment] by any alteration” [Al-Ahzab: 23]

Hajj Abdul Halim Al-Khayyat (Abu Shafiq)

who passed away on the morning of Eid al-Fitr, seeking the way to Allah (swt), working in the ranks of the dawah until his final days.

Despite his age and illness in his final days, the Hajj was filled with the spirit and energy of the Shabab. He spoke with full confidence in Allah’s victory (nusrah), as he watched in agony what was happening to our people in Gaza. He repeated, realizing that there is no liberation for Palestine and all Muslim countries except by removing the agents’ and traitors’ rule, and establishing the Khilafah (Caliphate).

May Allah (swt) have mercy on Hajj Abu Shafiq (Abdul Halim Al-Khayyat). We ask Allah to grant him the best reward, and to gather him (on the Day of Judgement) with the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, the righteous, and those who are good companions.

The eyes shed tears and the heart grieves, we are saddened by his departure, but we only say what pleases our Lord:

[إِنَّا للهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ]

“Indeed we belong to Allāh, and indeed to Him we will return.” [Al-Baqara: 156].
