The Rise of Hindutva Extremism is a Direct Consequence of Pakistan’s Secular Foreign Policy! The Khilafah Will Adopt a Foreign Policy, that is Based on Carrying the Islamic Message of Tawheed to the Whole World

On 22nd January 2024, India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, inaugurated the infamous Ram Mandir, with much fanfare and celebration. Situated in the city of Ayodhya, the Hindu temple was built on the ruins of the Babri Masjid, the iconic symbol of Muslim rule over the subcontinent, which was destroyed by Hindu mobs in 1992. BJP’s Hindutva ideology is defined by its animosity towards Islam and Muslims. Its political project is that of defeating Islam as a political ideology, and eradicating all traces of Islamic civilization from India, and the Indian Subcontinent. Ram Mandir and its construction was thus of symbolic political and cultural importance for Modi and BJP. Through the inauguration of the Ram Mandir, Modi announced a victory of Hindus and Hindutva over Muslims and Islam.

The rise of Modi, BJP and the Hindutva extremist ideology, to power in India, is a direct consequence of Pakistan’s rulers adopting a secular foreign policy, and adopting a secular identity for Pakistan. Since the ascendance of General Musharaf to power, Pakistan’s military generals have sought to undermine Pakistan’s Islamic identity, in order to appease their political and ideological masters in Washington. Pakistan’s military leadership dropped the Jihad doctrine as Pakistan Army’s operational military doctrine, which is the foundational idea and prime motivation of any Muslim army. An Islamic army fights in the Path of Allah (swt), raising the Word of Allah (swt) as the highest, whilst carrying the Islamic Message of Tawheed to rest of the world.

Instead of an army modelled on the historic armies of the Khilafah, which opened the Indian Subcontinent to Islam, or conquered much of the Roman Empire in the Ottoman era, Pakistan’s military leadership has sought to redefine Pakistan Army’s vision away from the grand vision of fighting for the supremacy of Islam and Muslims. Instead, Pakistan’s military leaders have tried to reduce Pakistan Army’s vision to a defensive, nationalist territorial force, which is shackled by the boundaries of the nation state. It is indeed sad to hear of Pakistan’s army chief’s rage at the killing of a single Pakistani, and threatening Afghanistan with a military response, on the one hand, whilst on the other hand, more than 25,000 Muslims have been butchered by the Jewish entity in Palestine, without a shot fired by Pakistan’s military leaders, or even a single verbal threat of a military response issued.

The rise of Hindutva ideology is a direct result of Pakistan’s new military doctrine. Pakistan’s military leaders removed India as a military threat from their military doctrine. Instead, over the past two decades Pakistan’s military leadership has sought to turn Pakistan Army into a nationalist, counter-terrorism force. This vision for the Pakistan Army is in direct contradiction with the vision of the great Muslim military commanders like Muhammad bin Qasim, Mahmood Ghaznavi, Shahabudin Ghauri and Qutb ud-Din Aibak who established the dominance of Islam over the Indian Subcontinent, from 712 to 1757 CE. Moreover, a nationalist, narrow vision for a Muslim army is in direct contradiction with Shariah rulings, and the Islamic vision for a Muslim army.

O Officers of Pakistan’s Armed Forces! Allah (swt) has commanded you to fight in His Path until His (swt) Deen reigns supreme. Allah (swt) says in the Noble Quran,

[قَاتِلُوا الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَلَا بِالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَلَا يُحَرِّمُونَ مَا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ]

“Fight those who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day, nor comply with what Allah and His Messenger have forbidden.” [TMQ Surah At-Tawbah 9:29].

The Messenger of Allah (saw) said, «وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ الْجَنَّةَ تَحْتَ ظِلاَلِ السُّيُوفِ» “Know that Jannah lies under the shade of the swords.” (Bukhari and Muslim). Grant your Nussrah to Hizb ut Tahrir, under its Ameer, the eminent Alim and statesman, Sheikh Ata Bin Khalil Abu Al-Rashtah, for the re-establishment of the Second Khilafah Rashidah (Rightly-Guided Caliphate) on the Method of Prophethood. The Khilafah will return you to the path of your predecessors in arms, the great Muslim military commanders who fought for the glory and victory of Islam. Establish the Khilafah and deal a death blow to Modi and his Hindutva ideology. Then earn the honor and reward of hoisting the Khilafah’s Liwaa’ flags and Rayah banners over Srinagar and Jerusalem.
