The War of Sedition (Fitnah) Makes the Beginning of Ramadan Red with the Blood of ‘Ulema

The Vice Chancellor and Head of Jamia Darul Uloom Haqqani, one of the largest and oldest seminaries in Pakistan, Maulana Hamidul Haq Haqqani, was martyred in a bomb blast during the Salah of Jummuah on 28 February 2025. Six other Muslims were also martyred in the blast, while several others were seriously injured. Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Pakistan strongly condemns this heinous attack and offers its condolences to the heirs, mourners and all well-wishers. We pray to Allah (swt) to grant all the deceased a place in Jannah al-Firdaus and grant patience to the bereaved families. Allah (swt) has said,

[وَمَنۡ يَّقۡتُلۡ مُؤۡمِنًا مُّتَعَمِّدًا فَجَزَآؤُهٗ جَهَـنَّمُ خَالِدًا فِيۡهَا وَغَضِبَ اللّٰهُ عَلَيۡهِ وَلَعَنَهٗ وَاَعَدَّ لَهٗ عَذَابًا عَظِيۡمًا]

“And he who slays a believer willfully, his reward is Hell, where he will abide. Allah's wrath is against him and He (swt) has cast His curse upon him, and has prepared for him a great chastisement.” [TMQ Surah An-Nisaa: 93].

This war of sedition (Fitnah) between the tribes and the army has torn our society apart, for which the entire responsibility lies with the rulers, active in American service. Due to this war, nearly one hundred thousand people, including the soldiers of our armies, tribesmen, other ordinary citizens, ‘Ulema and police officers, have lost their lives. This war has choked our economy, harmed the tribes and led to the defeat and destruction of the state. Due to this war, a wide gap of mistrust has been created between the people and their armed forces, and therefore the community (jamaa’ah) of the Muslims has been weakened. The time has come for all the sincere in the people of power and strength to rise up and forcibly stop the hand of every seditionist, who further inflames the fire of this war, whether he is found within the military and political leaderships, or within the tribal fighters.

There is no justification for this war in Shariah law. It is not allowed for tribal fighters to attack the army. It is not allowed for the army to follow American agenda of resolving this political issue through force. War between Muslims is fundamentally a fitnah, except in exceptional circumstances. It is a Shariah obligation upon Muslims to compel both sides to turn to Shariah Law to resolve their disputes.

O Armed Forces of Pakistan! Our goal is the liberation of Palestine and Kashmir. However, instead have been trapped in an internal war and weakened before the enemy. Only the establishment of the Khilafah (Caliphate) on the Method of Prophethood will unify our forces and tribes, and this combined strength will be used for the good of the Ummah. So make this Ramadan the Ramadan of establishing the Khilafah. Give your Nussrah to Hizb ut Tahrir for the establishment of the Khilafah. Hizb ut Tahrir will unify Pakistan, Afghanistan and other Muslim countries under one Khilafah and use our strength against the infidels (kuffar). Allah (swt) said,

[یٰۤاَیُّهَا الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوا اسْتَجِیْبُوْا لِلّٰهِ وَ لِلرَّسُوْلِ اِذَا دَعَاكُمْ لِمَا یُحْیِیْكُمْۚ]

“O Believers! Respond to Allah, and respond to the Messenger when He calls you to that which gives you life.” [TMQ Surah Al-Anfal 24].
