Regarding the Visit of the Delegation of Hizb ut Tahrir / Tunisia with the Interior Minister

A delegation of Hizb ut Tahrir in Tunisia visited the Interior Minister Lutfi Bin Jiddo at the Ministry Headquarters on Tuesday 3rd December 2013, the Hizb was represented by Abdul Raoof Al-Amiry, Head of the Political Office, Al-Arabi Kirbaka, Head of Central Contact Committee and Saleem Smeida, member of the Central Contact Committee. The purpose of the meeting was to outline Hizb ut Tahrir's vision to what the security procedures along with accountability for abuses, violations, and the prevailing ambiguity on the issue of terrorism.

The discussion revolved around the following points:

1. Emphasis that Hizb ut Tahrir adopts the interests of the people and accounts the rulers for all that violates the Ahkam Shar'iah and all that involves oppression of the people, as it is a political party whose ideology is Islam and its aim is to establish the Islamic State.

2. Discussion of the idea of "Republic Security" promoted by many, outlining that security should originally be from the core of the Ummah and for protecting it, security is not only titled and enlisted in the context of Islam and the Ummah, and in this lies the goodness for the ruler and the ruled.

3. The delegation emphasized the Hizb's unequivocal rejection of the attack of the sons of the Islamic awakening whether as a matter of satisfying the West or as a matter of being affected by a biased, provoking and inciting media; in this regard, the delegation denounced the arbitrary actions of storming into mosques which are houses of Allah, in a terrifying and displaying manner.

4. After the delegation's condemnation for every act of fighting, killing, bloodshed and terrorism against the people, it outlined that terrorism has become a Western industry in which malice and cunning is obvious to fight the anticipated awakening of the Ummah and prevent the success of the revolutions with Islam (righteousness and justice), the delegation stressed out that "terrorism" requires radical treatment through targeting those who are really behind it, without suspicion or camouflage... otherwise, everyone will fall into a never-ending cycle that concerns itself with only implications and facts.

The delegation emphasized on the need to uncover the truth to the people because what is apparent is the silence and discretion over well-known figures who are propagating terrorism and benefitting from it.

5. The delegation warned against the terrifying foreign intrusions in the country, and outlined the exposure and repellence is the noblest role for the security and that this intervention has mingled with politics in its smallest details and in the money, which made the security of the Muslims not to be in their own hands.

6. The delegation reminded the Minister that Hizb ut Tahrir is preparing a large seminar about its vision on the security issue, its reality and Ahkam (provisions) i.e. its presence and alternative, and our delegation asked the Minister to invite representatives of the Ministry to the seminar.

7. This seminar will be followed by a memorandum that will reach politicians and all those interested.
