Hizb ut Tahrir's Stance regarding the Elections
(Translated)

There have been many questions addressed to us, both from the general public, politicians and media about the possibility of our participation in the elections or not. We affirm that all our statements were swaying between the two possibilities and estimations; either to participate in the most effective styles to be representatives for the people in accounting without ourselves being part of the system of governance, no more no less. Or to boycott, if it is found that the introductions are all malicious, draining what remains of the revolution, and that the public opinion has broken up from this fabricated inferior path.

When we define our position, we will announce it clearly in a press conference.

We know in detail that the country is under plot through political and terrorist elements; its owners are occupied day and night with every seriousness and intrigue to flip the situation upside down, in rejection of An-Nahdha Movement to reach governance again; that is, it is seeking to postpone the elections or cancel it altogether. And as usual, even by brutally blood shedding and by external intelligence cover which became exposed. We condemn this work, which we warned of it before it happened, for it being based on the foreigner and on employment that violates the country, and for what it brings of absolute anarchy and recalling of the dictatorship again.

At the same time, we repel the evil by means of what is best, and the best is always to have the whole foundation on the basis of Islam and not based on the false illusionist consensus which squandered the right of the country and the people and wasted the opportunity of the revolution.
