When we discuss the topic of feminism and how it is viewed by Islam, we realise that there are two underlying issues that must be addressed. They are: 1. The lack of an understanding regarding the status of women in Islam and the roles that are ordained for them by the Shariah. 2. A confusion regarding the rights of women and the absence of a system that upholds them.

The High Court on Wednesday (9/6/22) ruled it unlawful for the Home Affairs Minister to strip dual nationals of their Australian citizenship under section 36B of the Australian Citizenship Act 2007 (Commonwealth), which also applies to children aged 14 to 18. The High Court decision will better protect the rights of dependent children of suspected foreign fighters charged under Australia's counter-terrorism laws, advocates say.
