This article stems from a lengthy conversation with my two adult daughters about Barbie and its influence on young girls. During our discussion, the underlying concern we shared was whether their younger sister, who recently turned two, should be exposed to Barbie culture or not. I urge parents, especially those with young daughters, to read this article and hold meaningful discussions with them.

On the 11th of August 2023, the BBC reported that 23 Rohingya Muslims died and 30 are missing after a boat carrying migrants escaping Myanmar's oppressive system sank. The bodies of the 23 Rohingyas fleeing for their lives from Rakhine state have been recovered after their boat sank.

 Indian police say they have arrested 74 Rohingya refugees for living “illegally” in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh. Those arrested included 55 men, 14 women, and five children and at least one of the arrested women is pregnant.
