The solution of increasing child murder in Bangladesh
only lies in the system of Islam
News
According to the news published in Dhaka Tribune dead bodies of four children, aged between seven and ten, are recovered by police on 17 February 2016 from a ditch at Hobigonj district of Bangladesh, after five days they went missing. The deceased are Monir Miah, 7; Jakaria Ahmed Shuvo, 8; Tajel Miah, 10; and Ismail Hossain, 10. Jakaria, Tajel and Monir’s fathers are cousins while Ismail was their neighbour. The post-mortem reports say that the children were strangled to death. The victims’ families claimed that the local police had not taken the matter seriously when they wanted to file a general diary after the abduction. They alleged that their neighbour could be behind the abduction and murder the children over previous enmity. The locals found the bodies buried under sand of the ditch and informed the police. Police suspect that the criminals killed the children just after the abduction. (Source:http://www.dhakatribune.com)

In Bangladesh, the abuse and murder of children in dreadful manners rose to an alarming level in recent times. At least 37 children were brutally murdered within the last one and half month. The barbaric incident of killing of four children happened within six months of the gruesome murder of 12 year old vendor Samiul Alam Rajon and 10 year old garage worker Rakib which resulted in a huge public outcry in the country. The values and morals of the society have gone so low that only few weeks ago soon after giving birth, an unmarried mother threw her newborn child from a five-storied building in the capital city.
Women and Children Affairs Ministry Secretary Nasima Begum said, “We are working hard but perversion and brutality has increased in the society.” Rights organizations, NGOs and the international community are calling for speedy trial and visible punishment to tackle the problem, but they failed to understand that it is the direct result of the liberal democratic values that they are preaching which had brought disaster to every corner of the world and turned human beings into savages. How can a government reduce brutality and perversion in society when through mass media it preaches poisonous thoughts like absolute personal freedom? How can the people of a society learn to behave responsibly when the system under which they live, teaches them that they are accountable to no one, not even to their creator? Rather, it is natural that in a society where people follow their own whims and desires and only seek mere personal benefits, crime will rise to an unprecedented level, as it rose in secular Western society. The shocking statistics and dreadful pattern of child abuse in the West only prove how Allah (swt) is truthful in His statement. Allah (swt) says in the Quran:
(أَرَأَيْتَ مَنِ اتَّخَذَ إِلَهَهُ هَوَاهُ أَفَأَنتَ تَكُونُ عَلَيْهِ وَكِيلًا * أَمْ تَحْسَبُ أَنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَسْمَعُونَ أَوْ يَعْقِلُونَ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا كَالْأَنْعَامِ بَلْ هُمْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا)
“Have you seen him who has taken his own vain desire as his ilâh? Would you then be a Wakîl over him? Or do you think that most of them hear or understand? They are only like cattle; nay, they are even farther astray from the Path. (i.e. even worse than cattle).” [Surah Furqan: 43-44]
Unlike the western democratic system, the Islamic system is based upon powerful concepts like accountability and taqwa (fear of Allah). From early childhood, the Islamic state, i.e. the Khilafah "Caliphate" will instill these strong and upright concepts into the hearts and minds of its citizens through mass media and its unique education system so that these concepts can act as a primary barrier to all kinds of criminal actions. These concepts had such powerful effect on people that in the golden age of the Khilafah "Caliphate", the law did not have to run after the criminals; rather the criminals used to surrender to the law and confess their crime and invoke punishment upon them to earn the pleasure of Almighty Allah. If this primary measure did not prevent a person from doing criminal actions, the perpetrator will be brought to justice via speedy trial and given exemplary punishment according to the Shariah law in front of the mass public so that no one dares commit any kind of brutality against its citizens.
To conclude, the alarming rate of child abuse and murder is not only the problem of Bangladesh. Rather, under the capitalist democratic system it has become a global phenomenon and its complete solution only lies in the system of Islam, i.e. in the system of the Khilafah "Caliphate" (caliphate) upon the method of the Prophethood.
