This Rajab marks the anniversary of that fateful day, 98 years ago when this Muslim Ummah lost its glorious state, its Islamic leadership, its guardian and shield – the Khilafah. Since that time, Muslim women and their families have been plagued with slaughter, starvation, destruction, persecution, dishonor, crippling poverty, destitution, oppression, and unbearable suffering.

Hizb ut Tahrir / Canada sent a formal delegation to the Pakistani Consulate in Toronto requesting that the Pakistani authorities fulfill their Islamic obligation (Fard) to release Sister Romana and Sister Roshan. As noted in the press release delivered as a part of this visit,

A delegation from Hizb ut Tahrir in Switzerland visited the Embassy of the Pakistani regime in the capital city of Bern. The delegation handed over to the Pakistani Embassy two press statements that the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah Pakistan had issued following the abduction of the sisters Romana and Roshan by the authorities there. The Ambassador declined receiving the statements personally.
