After the recent burnings of the Quran, first in front of the Turkish embassy in Stockholm on January 21, and most recently at the Friday prayer on January 27, in front of a mosque in Copenhagen, politicians are suddenly in a rush to wash their hands. As the Danish ambassador was summoned in Turkey, Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen told DR that he "distances himself strongly" from what he called "provocations".
