Kazakhstan and Afghanistan Follow the Capitalist System!

News:

Kazinform news agency reported on 29 December: “The Kazakh authorities have decided to remove the Taliban from the list of banned organisations. The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Aibek Smadiyarov told Kazinform correspondent.

- Why was this decision made?

- Kazakhstan regularly reviews the national list of terrorist organisations banned in Kazakhstan in order to update it. As part of this process, a decision was made to remove the Taliban from the list in accordance with UN practice. Thus, according to the resolutions of the UN Security Council, which are binding, the Taliban Movement is not included in the lists of organisations recognised by the UN Security Council as terrorist organisations.

- How will diplomatic contacts between Kazakhstan and the Taliban develop?

- With regard to political contacts, I would like to emphasise that Kazakhstan will continue to strictly adhere to the decisions and resolutions adopted by the Security Council and the United Nations General Assembly”.

Comment:

Initially, when the Taliban came to power in Afghanistan, Kazakhstan did not recognise the Taliban as legitimate and stated that they "support the UN Security Council statement on the prevention of the presence of groups that pose a threat to other states and respect for international law". What has changed in the relations between the two republics today?

Firstly: Kazakhstan's embassy in Kabul has continued to operate and establish trade relations since the new government took office in 2021, only with the caveat that the co-operation is not with the Taliban, but with Afghanistan. In April 2023, Kazakhstan allowed the Taliban to occupy the Afghan embassy in Astana and begin work. And today, the Kazakh authorities, again referring to the UN Security Council, made a new statement that they have decided to remove the Taliban from the list of terrorist organisations. That is, they decided to officially "legalise" the already established trade relations, because it turns out that Kazakhstan trades with an organisation that is on the list of banned and moreover is considered a terrorist organisation.

Secondly: Kazakhstan, which is dependent on Russia, cannot simply decide matters concerning the security of the state without the consent of its master. The Russian authorities added the Taliban to the list of banned and terrorist organisations back in 2003. After that, all neighbouring republics within the CSTO approved this list of banned organisations, and the Taliban turned out to be terrorist and banned in the whole of Central Asia. Therefore, it is strange that Kazakhstan decided to violate the CSTO articles and unilaterally exclude the Taliban from this list.

Today, Russia, which is under economic and political sanctions, uses bypass routes to sell its resources. Kazakhstan, by the way, is such an opportunity for Russia. For this purpose, Zh. Tokayev shows his alleged independence from Russia and autonomy in solving some issues. For example, what is important for Russia’s issue is the captured territories in Ukraine. Tokayev, ostensibly showing his independence from the Kremlin's position, said that he does not recognise the independence of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics from Ukraine. The exclusion of Kazakhstan's Taliban movement from the lists of terrorist organisations compiled by Russia in 2003 is also one of such tricks.

The Taliban, in turn, wants to be recognised by the International Community and is trying to build business relations with many countries. However, the Taliban builds relations on the terms of the world community, where the vicious system of capitalism, invented by a man, rules. The reality shows that the capitalist system has not brought any good to any people in the world, as it is aimed at colonising peoples and plundering their natural resources.

How long will the Central Asian countries and Afghanistan remain at the mercy of Russia on the one hand and the American capitalist system on the other? Isn't it time for Central Asian Muslims to realise that the reason for our weakness and poverty is the lack of unity and the state? The righteous state of Khilafah (Caliphate) based on the method of Prophethood includes the security, wealth and true independence of a country, its servants and its wealth. And may Allah help us!
