Political Revolutions Can Only Be Done through Combining a Radical and Well-Structured Political Project with Full Military Support (Nussrah)

Former Bangladesh Army Chief, General Iqbal Karim Bhuiyan has described the July 2024 Mass Movement which exiled Hasina, as a ‘quasi-revolution’ that was eventually contained through military and political manoeuvring. General Bhuiyan expressed that the 2024 uprising had the potential to become a full-scale revolution, similar to the French and Russian Revolutions, but due to compromises between student leaders and some senior army officers the movement lost momentum.

He alleged that the army allegedly proposed maintaining the presidency and constitution, but forming an interim government—a move he described as "a controversial compromise". General Bhuiyan also categorized the 2024 movement as the third major uprising in Bangladesh’s history, following 1971 and 1990s. However, unlike the previous two, which resulted in clear regime change, the 2024 event was, in his view, "strategically contained" by the military and political elite. Comment:

Regime change is not a revolution, although a successful political revolution always results in the fall of the previous regime. So, General Bhuiyan’s attempt to glorify 1971 and 1990s movements as ‘revolutions’ is clearly a youthful remark. Because, in both of this bygone incidents there were regime changes, but no radical changes in the political system were undertaken by the new regimes. In both of this incidents, the subsequent incumbent regimes continued the previous secular manmade system with minor partisan changes to the extent that the modified ruling system became more authoritative and oppressive than the previous ones. This tragic continuation in 1971 led to the people’s uprising in 1990’s and then again in 2024. To understand this simple fact, no sophisticated skills or subject matter expertise (SME) is required. However, the secular political parties with evil waswasah (whispering) from their Kuffar colonial masters, always blur this truth from people’s mind and falsely glorify those events as the nation’s true legacies, in the name of achieving ‘self-rule’ and democracy. But, even after the ouster of murderer Hasina, it’s obvious from the people’s frustration and aggressive posture towards the existing ruling system that they need a true revolution and the current atmosphere in Bangladesh is very ripe for such a revolution. The former Army Chief’s remarks at this very moment provide clear evidence of this ripeness.

To meet their true political aspirations, the people of Bangladesh need a radical and well-structured political project and a full scale military support (Nussrah) to implement this project. A radical and well-structured political project must have two components. One: the presence of a sincere political party containing a capable and visionary leadership with longstanding experiences, who mirrors the personalities that the people always craves for as their rulers. The presence of this sincere and capable individuals will ensure the ruling positions and the key administrative positions of various state departments will be immediately filled-up and through their expert hands the new ruling system will become functional radically, yet with butter-like smoothness. These individuals must be fully committed to the people and must be free from any influence and evil waswasah (whispering) of the Kuffar colonial states, especially the USA and its regional thug India. And two: the presence of an ideology (way of life, encompassing every aspect of human life). This ideology must not stem from the discriminatory human mind (such as secular capitalism), because it will inevitably create discrimination and injustice. So, this ideology must be from the Creator, i.e. pure and authentic Islam, free from any contamination with rejected western thoughts. Only Hizb ut Tahrir on the face of this earth possesses both of this components. In other words, only Hizb ut Tahrir, with its Islamic ideological political project Khilafah (Caliphate), has the capacity to bring about the ‘revolution’ the Bangladeshi people currently need and desire.

To bring about this revolution to life, Hizb ut Tahrir’s Islamic ideological project must meet with full scale military support (nussrah) from the Bangladesh Armed Forces. This full scale military support is necessary to facilitate the radical implantation of the Islamic solutions covering all aspects of statecraft and to ensure the protection of the new ruling system from any sort of aggressions or subversions. General Bhuiyan was very much correct about the ability of the military and its leadership’s role during and after the July 2024 uprising and ‘strategically containing’ it, confirming the practicality of the Prophetic method of nussrah. Because, the military has both soft and hard power to manoeuvre for or against any regime change or change of the ruling system. But, he was wrong about ‘premature abortion’ of the revolution in Bangladesh; the baby is still in the womb— alive, mature and healthy! It just need the doctor’s (military) attention and care to make the sweet delivery. The general people along with the people of power and influence in Bangladesh are getting more and more aware about the Islamic Khilafah (Caliphate) project and becoming confident about the sublime ruling capability of its vanguard Hizb ut Tahrir. And the final decision rests with Allah (swt).

[فَسَيُنْغِضُونَ إِلَيْكَ رُءُوسَهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هُوَ قُلْ عَسَىٰ أَن يَكُونَ قَرِيبًا]

“They shake their heads in (doubt) and ask, when will it happen? Say: probably it will happen very soon!” [Surah Al-Israa: 51].
