بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
Despite more than a week having passed since the operation in which a number of soldiers of the Jewish entity were killed and wounded at one of the entrances to the city of Al-Khalil (Hebron), despite the searches, vandalism, and forced displacement in the neighborhood where the martyrs who carried out the attack on that military checkpoint resided, and despite the demolition of the perpetrators' homes using explosives—the ongoing military operation in the city has revealed something that was evident from the very first moment of that swift and frenzied military operation: it goes beyond the policy of collective punishment and exceeds the retaliatory reaction that the people of Palestine have come to expect from the criminal entity!
Al-Khalil Governorate represents the largest demographic bloc in the West Bank in terms of population, constitutes one-fifth of its area, and is the backbone of its economy. It is effectively the heart and symbol of the West Bank. The city of Hebron, which serves as the governorate's center, has long held strategic importance for the Jewish entity—so much so that Oslo carved out a special agreement for it, known as the Hebron Agreement, which divided the city into what was termed (H1, H2). This division aligns with the entity’s future plans and its settlement ambitions targeting the very heart and center of the city—the Old City—where the Ibrahimi Mosque is located. The mosque itself was subjected to spatial division following a massacre targeting dozens of worshippers in 1994. This governorate and its city have endured harm equal to that inflicted upon other West Bank cities over decades, becoming encircled by settlements, checkpoints, and gates.
The usurping Jewish entity did not conceal its Judaizing view of this city through the statements of its most prominent leaders. David Ben-Gurion said in 1970, “Hebron is worthy of being a sister to Jerusalem.” As for the Chief Rabbi Shlomo Goren, he said in 1994, “Hebron is the second holiest city after Jerusalem.” This was confirmed in the same year by Ariel Sharon—then a Knesset member for the Likud party—who stated in an interview with the Jerusalem Post, “Hebron is Jerusalem and not Yamit,” referring to a settlement in northern Sinai evacuated following the Camp David Accords. The current Prime Minister of the Jewish entity, Netanyahu, was even more explicit when speaking about Hebron. In an official speech before the Knesset in 1997, commenting on the Hebron Agreement, he said, “We are not leaving Hebron, and we are not withdrawing from it; it touches the very foundation of national consciousness and the foundation of Jewish existence.” He reaffirmed this in 2019, stating, “We are not strangers in Hebron, and we will remain there forever.”
Faced with these facts, and faced with the scene unfolding in the Blessed Land since October 7, 2023—a state of criminal and bloody frenzy of oppression and persecution against the people of Palestine, involving killing, capture, demolition, destruction, and unleashing armed settler groups akin to the Irgun and Haganah of 1948 to seize lands, steal livestock, and cut down trees—the truth of what is happening in Al-Khalil becomes clear. Given Hebron's particular demographic, geographic, and economic importance, these events are an extension of what has happened and is happening in the rest of the cities of the West Bank. They represent a new, additional miniature model of the grand displacement project dreamed of by the Jewish entity, which it hopes to one day successfully implement across the entire West Bank of the Jordan River. This new miniature model was preceded by several other models in the camps of Tulkarm, Jenin, the Jordan Valley (Al-Aghwar), and Masafer Yatta.
To say that what is happening in Hebron is a retaliatory reaction and a policy of collective punishment against the people is an incomplete description, even if it is correct in terms of revenge. The reality is that the matter goes beyond that to dangerous schemes and projects targeting the people and their existence on this land, whether the current decision is to proceed with those projects and make what is happening a part of them, or to pave the way for those projects by creating the necessary security groundwork for them, regardless of the timing of their implementation and the details and stages of the ongoing process up to this moment.
What is happening in this blessed land of Palestine is a criminal Judaization and displacement policy targeting the people of Palestine, but sometimes the focus is Baytul Maqdis (Jerusalem), other times Jenin and Tulkarm, another time Al-Khalil, and yet another Qalqilya, and so on. The danger facing the people of Palestine increases day by day, for their steadfastness in the face of hardship and their refusal to voluntarily leave their land is no longer sufficient against the military and forced displacement within their own cities and villages. Internal displacement has now become a successful model for an entity that covets external displacement. The West Bank, which originally constituted only a small part of the blessed land due to the Palestinian Authority’s treachery and concessions, has now, in its current state, become narrower than one of its own major governorates because of the settlements, the settlers, the gates, and the checkpoints. Its economy is now burdened with poverty and depression, and its other sectors are on the verge of turning to ashes after the corrupt Palestinian Authority has reduced them to rubble!
From the foregoing, it becomes clear that what is happening in the West Bank is extremely serious, and that its danger is no less than what happened in Gaza, and that what people saw on television years ago in staged scenes of displacement and exodus as a bygone history from 1948 is now being witnessed as a lived reality in a live and direct broadcast in 2026, and that the ruling regimes in the Muslim lands, which accepted that scene back then and handed over Palestine on a silver platter to the Jews, will not move to prevent it now even if it contradicts their narrow political interests, and that the entity which killed tens of thousands in the Gaza Strip will not hesitate to repeat that in the West Bank!
In the face of all this, the people of Palestine have no hope—after Allah (swt)—except in an aware movement from the Islamic Ummah that topples the treacherous rulers and liberates the military decision from their subjugation, surrender, and defeatist agreements; a movement that mobilizes all military capabilities, declares the call to arms, and moves to eradicate this monstrous Jewish entity, purging the Blessed Land of its harm and evils; a movement that restores joy to Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa and to the pulpit of Salahudin in the Ibrahimi Masjid in Al-Khalil (Hebron) after it was desecrated by the soldiers of the Jewish entity, and that saves the people of Al-Khalil—indeed all the people of Palestine—from its malice, cunning, and machinery of death before it is too late.
