Hizb ut Tahrir/ Malaysia handed over protest to Bangladesh High Commission

KUALA LUMPUR 30 Sept - Hizb ut Tahrir Malaysia submitted an official  protest memo to the Bangladesh High Commission in JalanAmpang against the brutal act by the Bangladeshi regime under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina which apprehended and tortured many members of Hizb ut Tahrir from various parts of the country. Approximately 20 members of Hizb ut Tahrir Malaysia led by UstazTarmiziSalleh stood in front of the entrance of the High Commission to submit the protest letter after the Jumaah prayers. The submission of the protest memo is part of a series of protest by Hizb ut Tahrir in various parts in the world to warn Sheikh Hasina that the muslimummah in the whole world will not remain silent towards the brutal act of the Bangladeshi regime.

The secular regime of Hasina has transgress beyond humanitarian bounds by torturing members of Hizb ut Tahrir Bangladesh after apprehending them using the security forces of the country. Since 2009, few hundreds of Hizb ut Tahrir members have been arrested and tortured by the secular regime after the regime's criminal murder of many members of the Bangladeshi armed forces was exposed by Hizb ut Tahrir Bangladesh a few years ago. Members of Hizb ut Tahrir Bangladesh who were arrested were subjected to humiliating sexual abuse and punishments and sleep deprivation, which are among the few types of torture methods reported.

The arrival of Hizb ut Tahrir Malaysiadelegations was unwelcomed by the High Commission authorities. The local police on guard at the entrance did not allow the delegation to enter the compound at the beginning. Later on, more police officers were called to the Commission entrance. After 30 minutes of waiting and negotiating, the police agreed with the delegation's demands and the Commission's representative came to receive the protest letter.

Before the protest letter was handed to the Commission's representative, AkhFirdaus read the letter aloud which was well received by a large number of the Bangladeshi muslims who were present at that time in the Commission. The local police were also attentive to the message.

Before the Hizb ut Tahrir Malaysia members dispersed, Ustaz Isa Abdullah recited a du'aa to Allah SubhanahuWaTa'ala asking for constancy, patience and perseverance for the detained members facing persecution and torture from the regime and asking for the return of the Kilafah state that will end the regime's secular rule which persecutes its own people.

Hizb ut Tahrir Malaysia sends this message and warns Hasina's regime with the verse of Allah from the Holy Quran:

"And they did not persecute the believers other than being believers to Allah SWT The Most Powerful and The Most Praiseworthy, Who owns the Heavens and the Earth, and Allah is the Witness of all things. Verily, those who subject the believers men and women, to tribulations and do not repent, for them is the punishment of Jahannam and for them is the punishment of the burning fire" [TMQ: al-Buruuj 85: 8-10].
