Hizb ut-Tahrir is an Islamic Political Party which operates intellectually and politically in all Islamic lands with the aim of establishing the Islamic Khilafah "Caliphate". On 21 January 2009, Pakistan's President, Asif Ali Zardari, began an attempt by his government to portray the inauguration of the new US President, Barak Hussain Obama, as a new hope for Pakistan.
