“The Chief Justice Professor Haidar Ahmad Ahmad Daf’ullah issued a criminal law decree to amend the amount of the value of the full blood money that was established in accordance to the criminal law decree (3/2009) for it to be 330 thousand pounds alongside an amendment to binding Diyah (blood money) so that it will be 337 thousand (Sudanese) pounds working in accordance to Ahkam of the Article 42/1 from the criminal law of the year 1991 and the Article 212 from the law of criminal measures.
On 3 March, news agency Radio Liberty reported: “A group of residents of the Ferghana region of Uzbekistan was arrested on suspicion of involvement in “Hizb ut Tahrir”. 11 residents of the Altyarik district of the Ferghana region aged 25 to 34 years were arrested during a police raid. The people in masks arrived early in the morning when people went to the mosque for a morning prayer”.
