Answer to Question Causes for the Sudden Decrease in Oil Prices

Brent Crude Oil prices hit $49.66 per barrel, as too did the American crude oil, falling to around $47 per barrel, given that oil prices in 2014 have reached $115 a barrel at the beginning of summer in June in 2014. Then returned to gradually decrease until it reached at the beginning of winter, (at the end of December 2014) to $60 a barrel, and even lower than that, when the prices of West Texas crude oil reached $58.53, and here in the first week of January 2015, it reached to about $50, i.e. more than 50% decrease within five months! What are the causes for this sudden fall in oil prices? And what is expected for oil prices in the future?

Tafseer Al-Baqarah 2: 114-119 From the Book, Introduction to the Tafseer of the Quran, by the Ameer of Hizb ut Tahrir, the eminent jurist and statesman, Sheikh Ata Bin Khalil Abu Al-Rashtah:

"Who is more cruel than the one who prevents the mosques of Allah from His name being recited therein, and strives for their destruction? It was not for such men to enter them except in fear. For them there is disgrace in this world, and for them there is a mighty punishment in the other world. To Allah belongs the East and the West. So, whichever way you turn, there is the Face of Allah. Indeed, Allah is All-Embracing, All-Knowing. They say: "Allah has got a son." Pure is He. Nay, to Him belongs all that there is in the heavens and the earth. All stand obedient to Him. (He is the) Originator of the heavens and the earth. When He decides a matter, He simply says to it: "Be", and it comes to be. Those who do not know say: "Why is it that Allah does not speak to us, nor does a sign come to us?" So spoke those before them as these people do. Their hearts resemble each other. We have indeed made the signs clear for the people who have certitude. Surely, We have sent you with the truth, as a bearer of good tidings, and a warner, and you will not be asked about the people of Hell." [Surah al-Baqarah: 114-119]

These ayat are connected to those Allah mentioned in the preceding ayat about those who used to say to the believers, "You are upon nothing". These were the Jews, Christians and Polytheists. When any of them took over the worship place of the other, they would prevent them from remembering Allah in these and strive to ruin them. Their reality in the time of the Prophet (saw) and before it shows the same. When the Jews took over the worship places of the others or when these were in their lands, they would prevent them from worship in these and seek to ruin them. This is what the Jews did with the Christians and vice-versa. This is also what the Polytheists did with the Messenger of Allah (saw) when the Sacred Masjid was in their control. They prevented the Messenger and his Companions from Umrah and from performing tawaf around it.

This matter is also a sensible and witnessed reality in our time. The wars waged by the Jews, Christians, Serbs, Hindus, and Russians against the Muslims in Palestine, Lebanon, Bosnia, India, Kashmir and Chechnya show how the disbelievers purposefully target the minarets, domes and masajid with missiles and other weapons, with hatred and intent.

Allah, the Exalted, elucidates the following in these ayat:

1. No one is more oppressive than the one who prevents mention of the word of truth in places of worship and seeks to destroy these, whether materially, by physically destroying them or neglecting them, or figuratively, by making them void of the call to Islam and spreading in them false calls.

((وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ)) "Who is more cruel...?" is a rhetorical question for rebuke, rebuking that anyone be worse than those described.

((وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنْ مَنَعَ مَسَاجِدَ اللَّهِ)) "Who is more cruel than the one who prevents the mosques of Allah..." that is, the most oppressive of preventers are those who prevent the masajid of Allah. This is on the style of His saying, ((وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَى عَلَى اللَّهِ الْكَذِبَ)) "Who is more cruel than the one who fabricates lies against Allah" [al-Saff: 7], that is, the most oppressive of fabricators are those who fabricate lies against Allah. Similarly, ((وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّن كَتَمَ شَهَادَةً عِندَهُ مِنَ اللّهِ)) "Who is more cruel than the one who conceals a witness he has from Allah" [al-Baqarah: 140], that is, the most oppressive of concealers are those who conceal a witness they have from Allah.

Thus, the expression "most cruel" in all these ayat is with respect to the subject matter mentioned in them.

2. ((أُوْلَئِكَ مَا كَانَ لَهُمْ أَنْ يدخلوها إلا خَائِفِينَ)) "It was not for such men to enter them except in fear", that is, it was not for such people to enter the masajid in a state of security. This is a prohibition from their being allowed to enter in a state of security. Entering in a state of security means that they are in authority over them.

((أُوْلَئِكَ)) "For such men [ulaa'ik]" is a demonstrative pronoun pointing to those mentioned in the previous ayah, those who prevent the remembrance of Allah in places of worship and strive for their ruin. However, the text is general and consideration is for the generality of the expression not the specificity of the cause of revelation. Hence, it includes everyone who prevents mention of Allah in masajid and strives to ruin them.

Thus, the meaning is: O believers, it is prohibited for you to allow those who prevent the mention of Allah in masajid and strive for their ruin to have authority over them.

The prohibition here is definitive, by the indication of, ((لَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا خِزْيٌ وَلَهُمْ فِي الآخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ)) "...for them there is disgrace in this world, and for them there is a mighty punishment in the other world." Further, this prohibition, ((أُوْلَئِكَ مَا كَانَ لَهُمْ أَنْ يدخلوها)) "It was not for such men to enter them except in fear" is on the same style as His saying, ((وَمَا كَانَ لَكُمْ أَن تُؤْذُوا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ)) "It is not for you to harm the Messenger of Allah" [al-Ahzab: 53], that is, it is prohibited for you to harm the Messenger of Allah (saw). The same is the case with His saying, ((وَمَا كَانَ لِمُؤْمِنٍ وَلَا مُؤْمِنَةٍ إِذَا قَضَى اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَمْرًا أَن يَكُونَ لَهُمُ الْخِيَرَةُ مِنْ أَمْرِهِمْ)) "It is not for a believer, male or female, when Allah and His Messenger decide a matter, that they have any choice in the matter." [al-Ahzab: 36], that is, it is prohibited for every believing man and woman to disobey a matter decided by Allah and His Messenger (saw).

3. ((لَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا خِزْيٌ وَلَهُمْ فِي الآخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ)) "...for them there is disgrace in this world, and for them there is a mighty punishment in the other world." This is mention of the punishment of those who prevent the mention of Allah in masajid. Their punishment is disgrace in this world, that is, humiliation, shame and exposing of their evil and the making apparent of the disease of their hearts - as He (swt) says, ((أَمْ حَسِبَ الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ أَن لَّن يُخْرِجَ اللَّهُ أَضْغَانَهُمْ)) "Or do those in whose hearts is a disease think that Allah will not expose their grudges?" [Muhammad: 29] - and in the Hereafter is a severe, immense torment.

4. Allah, the Exalted, has made the entire Earth a place of prayer and pure -«فأيما رجل أدركته الصلاة فليصلّ حيث كان» "Any man whom the time of prayer reaches, then let him pray wherever he is" (Agreed upon). Thus, if the houses of Allah are destroyed by those described in the previous ayat and prayer in them is made impossible, then let each person pray wherever he is and let him direct his face towards the Sacred Masjid whichever direction it be in, for all directions are Allah's; He is their owner and creator.

So if the direction of the Sacred Masjid is towards the East, let him pray in that direction and if it is West, then in that direction, and if any other, then towards that. In all these cases, he will be directing himself towards Allah, the Exalted.

((وَلِلَّهِ الْمَشْرِقُ وَالْمَغْرِبُ)) "To Allah belongs the East and the West...", that is, Allah is the owner and creator of all directions. The East and West are mentioned here to indicate upon all directions from which the Sun rises on the horizon and is seen by the eye. It rises in the East from multiple points according to the seasons of the year. That direction from the first point to the last on the Eastern horizon is "the East", likewise the West.

It is mentioned elsewhere, ((رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ الْمَغْرِبَيْنِ)) "Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests" [al-Rahman: 17]. Here, the "two Easts" are the first point from where the Sun rises and the last, according to the seasons of the year. That is, the beginning of the places where the Sun rises and its end, through the year. Likewise the "two Wests".

Similarly, we find, ((فَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِرَبِّ الْمَشَارِقِ وَالْمَغَارِبِ)) "I take oath by the Lord of the Easts and the Wests" [al-Ma'arij: 40]. The "Easts" here are the points of the rising of the Sun from the East as per the seasons of the year and likewise the "Wests".

All of these - "East and West", "two Easts and two Wests" and "Easts and Wests" are mentioned as a metonymy [kinaya] for Allah, the Exalted, being the owner and creator of all directions and He, the Exalted, is encompassing in mercy, knowledgeable of what benefits His slaves - ((إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَاسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ)) "Indeed, Allah is All-Embracing, All-Knowing."

5. Allah then informs us that those mentioned in the previous ayah - the Jews, Christians and Polytheists - say that Allah has taken a son. The Jews say, ((عُزَيْرٌ ابْنُ اللّهِ)) "Uzair is the son of Allah" and the Christians say, ((الْمَسِيحُ ابْنُ اللّهِ)) "The Messiah is the son of Allah" [al-Tawba: 30] and the Polytheists say that the angels are the daughters of Allah. ((فَاسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَلِرَبِّكَ الْبَنَاتُ وَلَهُمُ الْبَنُونَ * أَمْ خَلَقْنَا الْمَلَائِكَةَ إِنَاثًا وَهُمْ شَاهِدُونَ * أَلَا إِنَّهُم مِّنْ إِفْكِهِمْ لَيَقُولُونَ * وَلَدَ اللَّهُ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ * أَصْطَفَى الْبَنَاتِ عَلَى الْبَنِينَ * مَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ * أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ)) "So ask them, "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons?" Or, had We created angels as females while they were witnessing? Beware! They are the ones who, by way of a lie of theirs, (have the audacity to) say, "Allah has children" - and they are absolute liars. Is it that Allah has chosen daughters (for Himself) instead of sons? What is the matter with you? How (arbitrarily) do you judge? Then, is it that you do not think about it?" [al-Saffaat: 149-155]

Allah then informs us that He is Transcendent and Exalted above their lies and that He is the owner of the heavens and the earth and everyone and everything therein. All are submitted and obedient to Him.

((بَلْ)) "Nay [bal]" is for transition, that is, for invalidating their false claim that Allah has a son.

The use of ((مَا)) ‘ma', which lexically is for the non-rational beings, in His saying, ((بَلْ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ)) "Nay, to Him belongs all that there is in the heavens and the earth", is to indicate that the status of all created things in the heavens and earth, in particular those they claim are the sons of Allah, is the status of inanimate objects. Nay, it is ever lower with respect to the greatness of Allah. There is a vast difference between Allah and His creation. They understood that the son, normally, is of the genus of the father and the matter here is not so. Rather, the matter here is of Creator and created. This, then, is a metonymical [kinaya] expression for the foolishness of the beliefs of those who said about created things that they are the sons of the Creator.

((كُلٌّ لَهُ قَانِتُونَ)) "All stand obedient to Him" - the tanween in ((كُلٌّ)) ‘kullun' (all) is in substitution for the omitted annexed phrase, that is, all that is in the heavens and earth and all that they make as sons for Allah...all of these are obedient and submitted to Allah, the Exalted. As for the believer, his obedience and submission is apparent. As for the disbeliever, there are multiple positions narrated about the manner of their submission, the most correct of which is what was related from Mujahid that the submission of the disbeliever is the prostration of his shadow whilst he is unwilling, like with the saying of Allah, ((وَلِلّهِ يَسْجُدُ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ طَوْعًا وَكَرْهًا وَظِلالُهُم بِالْغُدُوِّ وَالآصَالِ)) "To Allah prostrate all in the heavens and earth, willingly or unwillingly, as do their shadows, by morn and by evening." [al-Ra'd: 15]

6. Allah, the Exalted, is the originator of the heavens and earth. Origination [ibda'] is to bring something into existence that has no precedent. That is, He is their Creator, and no matter is too difficult for him. When He intends a thing, it occurs as He intends it.
((بَدِيعُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ)) "He is the Originator of the heavens and the earth." ‘Badee' [lit. origination] here is in meaning of mubdi' [originator] by the morphological substitution of muf'il to fa'eel, as with the substitution of mu'lim [pain-causing] to aleem [painful].

((وَإِذَا قَضَى أَمْرًا)) "When He decides a matter", that is, when he intends a matter, as with His saying, ((إِنَّمَا أَمْرُهُ إِذَا أَرَادَ شَيْئًا أَنْ يَقُولَ لَهُ كُنْ فَيَكُونُ)) "His matter when He intends a thing is but that He says to it, ‘Be!' and it is." [Yasin: 82] ((كُنْ فَيَكُونُ)) "‘Be' and it is" is a metonymy for the immediate occurrence of whatever Allah intends as He intends it.

7. Allah (swt) informs us that ((الَّذِينَ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ)) "those who do not know", those mentioned in the previous ayah, ((كَذَلِكَ قَالَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِثْلَ قَوْلِهِمْ)) "So spoke those before them as these people do", that is, the polytheist Arabs who had sought the like of the signs sent to earlier peoples. ((وَقَالُواْ لَن نُّؤْمِنَ لَكَ حَتَّى تَفْجُرَ لَنَا مِنَ الأَرْضِ يَنبُوعًا)) "They said, "We shall never believe in you unless you cause a spring to gush forth for us from the earth."' [al-Isra: 90] ((فَلْيَأْتِنَا بِآيَةٍ كَمَا أُرْسِلَ الأَوَّلُونَ)) "So, let him bring a sign to us, as the earlier ones were sent with." [al-Anbiya': 5] ((لَوْلَا أُنزِلَ عَلَيْنَا الْمَلَائِكَةُ أَوْ نَرَى رَبَّنَا)) "Why the angels are not sent down to us or why do we not see our Lord?" [al-Furqan: 21]

This is what the polytheist Arabs said to the Messenger of Allah (saw) and these sayings of theirs were similar to what previous disbelieving people said to their prophets, in asking for signs as a pre-condition for their believing. Thamud asked Salih (as) for a sign, ((مَا أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا فَأْتِ بِآيَةٍ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ * قَالَ هَذِهِ نَاقَةٌ لَّهَا شِرْبٌ وَلَكُمْ شِرْبُ يَوْمٍ مَّعْلُومٍ)) "You are nothing but a human like us. So, bring a sign if you are one of the truthful." He said, "This is a she-camel. She has a share of water, and you have a share of water on a specified day." [al-Shua'ra: 154-155] Fir'awn and his people asked Musa (as) for signs, ((وَلَمَّا وَقَعَ عَلَيْهِمُ الرِّجْزُ قَالُواْ يَا مُوسَى ادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ بِمَا عَهِدَ عِندَكَ لَئِن كَشَفْتَ عَنَّا الرِّجْزَ لَنُؤْمِنَنَّ لَكَ)) "Whenever a scourge befell them, they said, "O Mūsā, pray for us to your Lord by the covenant He has made with you. If you remove the scourge from us, we will truly believe in you..." [al-A'raf: 134] Thus the polytheists said as those before them did. Their hearts resembled one another in their putting conditions of signs for their belief. But when signs were sent they still refused to believe - ((وَأَقْسَمُواْ بِاللّهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَانِهِمْ لَئِن جَاءتْهُمْ آيَةٌ لَّيُؤْمِنُنَّ بِهَا قُلْ إِنَّمَا الآيَاتُ عِندَ اللّهِ وَمَا يُشْعِرُكُمْ أَنَّهَا إِذَا جَاءتْ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ)) "They have sworn forceful oaths by Allah that if a sign comes to them, they will surely believe in it. Say, "Signs are in Allah's power alone." What will make you realize that even when they (the signs) come, they will not believe?" [al-An'am: 109]

Allah, the Exalted, then ends the ayah with, "We have indeed made the signs clear for the people who have certitude", that is, for those who seek signs for the purpose of sincerely establishing the truth, certainty and belief. For such, Allah makes the signs clear. This is a rebuttal against the polytheist Arabs of Makkah, who sought miracles from the Messenger of Allah (saw). So Allah makes clear for them that if you want signs in order to sincerely believe then We have already sent such signs and made them clear, namely, the Book of Allah which the Messenger (saw) came with, as affirmed by the next ayah.

8. Allah addresses His Messenger (saw) elucidating that He sent him with the Noble Qur'an, the miracle which challenged the Arabs to bring the like of it. In this is a rebuttal against their saying, ((لَوْلاَ يُكَلِّمُنَا اللَّهُ أَوْ تَأْتِينَا آيَةٌ)) "Why is it that Allah does not speak to us, nor does a sign come to us?" For had they truly wanted a sign in order to believe then here it is - this Miraculous Book - so reflect on its ayat. If they do this, it will become apparent to them that it is not the speech of a man, but rather the speech of Allah.

Allah then informs His Messenger (saw) that he has been sent with the Noble Qur'an as a giver of glad-tidings to the believers of the pleasure of Allah and Jannah, and as a warner to the disbelievers of Allah's wrath and the Fire. So whoever disbelieves after this, he will not harm Allah or His Messenger (saw) in the least, and the Messenger (saw) will not be held accountable for their disbelief, as the messenger is only tasked with passing the message and warning - ((إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ بَشِيرًا وَنَذِيرًا وَلاَ تُسْأَلُ عَنْ أَصْحَابِ الْجَحِيمِ)) "Surely, We have sent you with the truth, as a bearer of good tidings, and a warner, and you will not be asked about the people of Hell."

((إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ)) "We have sent you with the truth", that is, the Qur'an, as with His saying, ((بَلْ كَذَّبُوا بِالْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاءهُمْ فَهُمْ فِي أَمْرٍ مَّرِيجٍ)) "Nay, the rejected the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused state." [Qaf: 5]

By Banning Jihad Against America, Regime Itself is a Threat to the Integrity of Pakistan

On 3 January 2015, the regime released details of its draft constitutional amendment which cites that "whereas there exists grave and unprecedented threat to the integrity of Pakistan by the raising of arms and insurgency in name of religion." The fact of the matter is that the Muslims of the tribal regions are focused on the Kuffar enemy occupying Afghanistan from the beginning of the American invasion. Yet, the regime at the behest of America, is declaring such Jihad, illegal.

By doing so the regime has exposed its opposition to the beliefs, values, traditions and history of this Ummah.  Allah (swt) and His Messenger have commanded Dawah and Jihad against the Kuffar enemy as an obligation. RasulAllah (saw) established the dominance of Islam throughout the Arabian Peninsula through Dawah and Jihad. The authorities of Kufr fell one after the other and submitted to Islam. He (saw) laid a strong basis for the opening of the lands of the Persian and Roman Empires that occurred during the time of the Khilafah "Caliphate" Rashida through Jihad. The Ummah emerged as the leading state in the world through Dawa and Jihad. Its armies were mobilized and emerged triumphant, paving the way for a great Islamic civilization. Until today, the Pakistan Armed Forces considers itself as an inheritor of that great tradition and its heroes are Khalid Bin Waleed, Salahudeen and Muhammad bin Qassim.

The regime has denounced Jihad as it follows America, rather than the values and aspirations of the Ummah. There was a time when the Americans praised Jihad and the Mujahideen. That was when the Muslims were focused on the occupation by their competitor, Soviet Russia. The Muslims were aware of the danger to Pakistan of having such a hostile force on Pakistan's doorstep. However, now that America itself is occupying Muslim Land, it demands that Jihad is condemned as terrorism. As such the regime has demonstrated that it itself is a danger to the integrity of Pakistan. It must be removed and replaced by the Khilafah "Caliphate" as a matter of utmost priority.

Regime Uses Fear to Support America's War: A Fragile Ploy

On 3 January, special panels were constituted for all the four provinces to oversee implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP) against terrorism as the latest measure undertaken by regime in a climate of fear. These measures are being used as a cover to crush those who are fighting against the American occupation as an Islamic duty and those who support that duty, the obligation of Jihad.

In the famous documentary ‘The Power of Nightmares: The Rise of Politics of Fear', written and produced by Adam Curtis and first aired by the BBC in 2004, a detailed analysis on the politics of war on terror was presented. The documentary focused on attacking the neoconservative policies and the narrative built around the war on terror by Bush's White House. It argued that after the decline in the power and ability of the American state to fulfill its citizens needs, the American establishment adopted a new narrative in which instead of promising its citizens to help fulfill their dreams, the politicians promised to protect their citizens from nightmares. The use of fear as a tool to garner political power and support was first championed by the Reagan administration against the Communist enemy, a time when neoconservatives consolidated their power in Washington. The neoconservatives adopted an ideology which mixed capitalist interests, Christian evangelism and the need for a foreign enemy to consolidate their power domestically and to project American power internationally.

Exploiting the tragic incident of the Peshawar attack, we can see Pakistan's rulers borrowing the American experience of using politics of fear to garner political support for their objectives. So the Peshawar attack has been used to invoke fear in the people, and the government intends to use this fear to strengthen its hands politically and serve its American masters. That people should be scared into accepting something which they don't believe in, suggests that the ruling establishment and its backers are not interested in a debate at all. The war on terror is America's war. The Pakistani masses are convinced on this. And they cannot be scared into accepting otherwise. Any forced consensus regarding the war on terror imposed on the people would break after a while, as has happened so many times in the past, because a powerful consensus which holds is built on ideas that inspire, not emotions that invoke hatred.

National Action Plan is a US Funded Campaign to Suppress Jihad Against the American Occupation of Afghanistan

The National Assembly on 6 January adopted the 21st Constitutional Amendment Bill and The Pakistan Army (Amendment) Bill, 2015 unopposed after 247 Members of National Assembly voted in favour of the laws aimed to set up constitutionally protected military courts to try civilian terrorism suspects. Thus the government proceeded on its plans to persecute those who fight the American occupation.

Those who fight the American occupation in Afghanistan, they are Mujahideen. Those who travel from Pakistan to fight the American occupation in Afghanistan, they are Mujahideen. Those who attack the Pakistan Army and other law enforcement agencies, they are mischief makers playing in foreign hands. There is no confusion here. Our rulers want us to believe that all-non state actors, those who fight the Americans in Afghanistan and those who attack the Army, are one. They are not. Using the Peshawar tragedy the civilian and military leadership has launched a war against "religiously inspired violence or use of force". They fear to use the Arabic term, for this will reveal their true intentions. Muslims know that "religiously inspired use of force" is Jihad. Moreover, it is well known and very clear that Jihad is done only against the Kuffar not Muslims.

Instead of supporting the resistance in Afghanistan against the American occupation, traitors in our military and political leadership are supporting the American occupation by coming down hard on Pashtun tribes fighting the Americans in Afghanistan. They use the word "terrorism" to hide their slavery to America. This is what the National Action Plan is all about. It is a US funded campaign to suppress the support which the Muslims of Afghanistan are receiving from Pakistan to fight the American occupation in Afghanistan. It is a campaign to establish the American Raj in Pakistan and Afghanistan. This not about human rights or military courts. This is about the right of Muslims to resist foreign occupation. This is about the concept of the Ummah. Afghans and Pakistanis are one and they have a common enemy: America. They must unite to kick her out of our lands.

Abolish Democracy, the Clear Tool for Colonialism

The 21st Amendment passed in Pakistan's National Assembly on 6 January, unchallenged, now allows military courts to try civilians facing charges of 'terrorism'. Among other things, it allows the Federal government to transfer any pending case in any civilian court to military courts and means that those convicted by military courts have no right of appeal before civilian courts. This hideous abuse of due process passed the NA with 247 votes in favour, zero against. Democracy at work! No one dared vote against, even those who expressed concerns and were in principle against it. This episode re-affirms some ground realities:

1. The de facto power in Pakistan is the army. The military leadership rules the roost. When they want something done, the political leadership stands impotent and must fall in line, willingly or otherwise.

2. This is the ugly reality of democracy, as practiced in East and West - that when expedient its most basic principles will be done away with. And this is the ugly reality of those self-avowed democrats who sing the Westphalian hymns of democracy and freedom - that when in their interest they will happily contradict all their claimed principles.

Thus, we see here all the foundational principles of democracy, be it the separation between military and civilian affairs or the separation of powers, being put to the sword. At the same time, we see the US, Europe, the Pakistan Government and Opposition, even those political parties and leaders such as Imran Khan who exhibited impressive rhetoric about democracy, rights, and this and that, for months...we see them all united in silence, a shameful silence that history will record.

3. Resorting to such extreme measures indicates the failure of the 'war on terror' adopted by the traitors in the political and military leadership, on instruction from the US. After a decade of fighting America's war and destroying the country, these traitors nothing to show by way of success and are forced to employ such extreme measures.

4. The only way out for Pakistan, both in reclaiming its independent political will and in stopping the despicable bombings and attacks, is to remove the US presence, which has led to this. This requires a radical change in the leadership, the actual leadership (military), followed by the symbolic one (political).

So let all those who are sincere work for change on the basis of Islam, and Islam alone, rejecting the false idols of democracy and dictatorship like, and let them direct their call to those who can make the difference: the sincere officers in army who have the ability to push aside the traitors.

America's War Has Only Might, not Right

At a US State Department news briefing on 7 January, Spokesperson Jen Psaki also asked Pakistan to provide more information about the move but refrained from condemning it. "We support efforts to counter terrorism and bring perpetrators to justice, but we believe it's important that efforts be consistent with principles of due process." A journalist reminded her of the practice that was established by the previous Bush administration, of trying terrorism suspects in military courts. "Why would you then need to even think twice about a Pakistani move to go to military tribunals?" the journalist asked.

The Raheel-Nawaz regime, like its masters in Washington, is forcing consensus over its support of America's war, as it has no truth on its side. This is not a surprise to many. Even in America, there is a substantial 9/11 Truth movement, an umbrella terms for a group organizaions that question the basic premise of America's war. Some of the organizations assert that there is evidence that individuals within the United States government may have been either responsible for or knowingly complicit in the September 11 attacks. Motives suggested by the movement include the use of the attacks as a pretext to start wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and to create opportunities to curtail civil liberties.

As for Pakistan, until now, within the people and the armed forces, the Afghan Jihad against America is respected and held in high esteem. As the Muslims are holding firmly to their Deen, the regime is seeking to please its American masters by using force against them.

The tyrants of the world will fail in their war of terror and force, inshaaAllah, for Islamic history is replete of examples of brave Muslims standing up for truth despite all manner of harsh measures against them. Such suppression of truth moves all the Muslims to play their part, small or great, including the men of Nussrah whose might and strength is enough to stop the tyrants in their tracks. Imam Ahmad recorded that Jareer (ra) said that the Messenger of Allah said, «مَا مِنْ قَوْمٍ يُعْمَلُ فِيهِمْ بِالْمَعَاصِي هُمْ أَعَزُّ وَأَكْثَرُ مِمَّنْ يَعْمَلُونَ ثُمَّ لَمْ يُغَيِّرُوهُ إِلَّا عَمَّهُمُ اللهُ بِعِقَاب» "There is no people among whom sins are openly committed, while they are mightier and more numerous than those who commit these sins, and they do nothing to stop them, except that Allah encompasses them all with punishment."

Patching the Man-Made Constitution Deepens the Crisis; The Obligation is to Resolve it by a Constitution Based on the Doctrine of Islam (Translated)

On Saturday, 4th January 2015 CE, the parliament approved amendments in the Interim Constitution of 2005, most notably with regards to the powers of the President of the Republic in appointing the governors of States and their exemption, and the powers of the Security and Intelligence Service; which has evolved into a government force, rather than the previous powers confined to information gathering and analysis, and delivering them to the specialized authorities. The amendments included the Doha Agreement on Darfur in the Constitution, as well as to give the provinces and local authorities the right to issue laws in the provinces and local authorities to impose taxes and fees.

The parliament did not face any difficulty in making these amendments, and contented themselves with Takbeers and Tahleel hence it passed by the overwhelming majority, especially the ruling party that controls 90% of the parliamentary seats which are 450 seats.

Chairman of the National Congress parliamentary group Mahdi Ibrahim, in a statement quoted by Ashrooq Channel said, that the aim of the proposed amendments "is to address the crises of tribalism, nationalism, and regional prejudices as ills that must be met with swift treatment."

O Noble Muslim Ummah:

  • These constitutional amendments, as is the Constitution, are not derived from the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (saw), i.e. the Shariah law was not the basis for them, Allah (swt) says:

((وَأَنِ احْكُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ وَلا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ وَاحْذَرْهُمْ أَنْ يَفْتِنُوكَ عَنْ بَعْضِ مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ إِلَيْكَ))

"And judge, [O Muhammad], between them by what Allah has revealed and do not follow their inclinations and beware of them, lest they tempt you away from some of what Allah has revealed to you..." [Al-Ma'ida: 49]

Therefore, they are man-made laws that do not reflect the aspirations of our great Ummah, in that it wants to be ruled by Islam as a Muslim Ummah.

  • The inclusion of the Doha Agreement in the Constitution; it is the agreement signed between the government and some Darfur movements, which gave Darfur a wider regional autonomy, in preparation for its separation, and now the idea of self-autonomy is to become a constitutional right, and this explicitly threatens the unity of the country, and the separation of the south through the same man-made constitution is not far-off.

  • The weakening of the army through the Nevasha Agreement; that this man-made law constitution was based on, and then replacing the main armed force with other forces, such as the police and security apparatus. It is a great crime against the country and the people, because the functions of the police and security apparatus are different from the military tasks; the armed forces is the striking and fighting force, the entire Ummah stands behind it, and our Ummah is stronger and dignified by its strength.

  • Giving local authorities and provinces the right to issue local laws and commands, such as imposing taxes and fees, is rationing for more means and methods of consuming people's wealth unlawfully, which is forbidden in Islam, the Prophet (saw) said:                                       «لاَ يَحِلُّ مَالُ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ، إِلاَّ بِطِيبِ نَفْسٍ مِنْهُ» "The money of the Muslim is not lawful, but when he gives it willingly."

It furthers the suffering of the lives of the ordinary people; those who are supposed to be represented in the parliament chamber by those cheering on (for these laws)!

O our people in Sudan:

Tribalism, nationalism, and regional prejudices are the discharge of this falsehood system; which ruled the country a quarter of a century without the Shariah of Islam. This government has provoked these ignorant prejudices, its relationships are on this basis; when it befriends or take an enemy, when it provides or deprives and when it makes peace or fights on this basis. Such patches on the man-made constitution would not address the problem of tribalism or others, but it deepens the crisis of the country. Solving the problem of tribalism and nationalism is only in the implementation of Islam and its system, which smelt the society in the crucible of Islam, eliminating these stinking prejudices, and Allah will unite our hearts, Allah Azza Wa Jal says:

((لَوْ أَنْفَقْتَ مَا فِي الأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا مَا أَلَّفْتَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ أَلَّفَ بَيْنَهُمْ إِنَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ))

"And brought together their hearts. If you had spent all that is in the earth, you could not have brought their hearts together; but Allah brought them together. Indeed, He is Exalted in Might and Wise." [Al-Anfal: 63]

O great Ummah of Islam; O people of Sudan:

The time has come to remove the systems of the Kaffir West; democracy that make legislation for humans by the opinion of the majority, making this is the source of this man-made Constitution; the Constitution of 2005, which bequeathed us with humiliation and poverty, serving as a Trojan horse to tear the country apart, by the separation of South Sudan, and the preparing the rest of the regions to secede. Such man-made constitutions are a tool to consolidate the power of rulers, and subjugation of the Ummah and its impoverishment. This reality will not change, except by the Islamic Constitution taken from the Qur'an and Sunnah by the strength of the evidence. It is a Constitution that guarantees the unity of the Ummah and its living by Islam, a life in obedience to Allah (swt), and  seeking His (swt) pleasure, so that He (swt) may lift off us the high prices and sufferings, and  we return as the best nation brought t mankind.

And now the time has come for our heroes in positions of decision making from the people of power and protection in the great armed forces to conquer the tyranny and to bring the victory for Islam and Muslims.

So rise in obedience to Allah, and side with your great Ummah, by restoring the ruling system of Islam; the Khilafah "Caliphate", by pledging allegiance to the Khaleefah to listen and obey, and to implement Islam and its systems.

"...And that day the believers will rejoice * In the victory of Allah. He gives victory to whom He wills, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful." [Ar-Rum: 4-5]
