Press Release Slander against Hizb ut Tahrir's News! The Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Syria announced that the news item posted today by "Reporters without Borders - Al-Riqqa" on their Facebook page and perhaps other places Is a lie and t

It was incumbent upon the organizers of this website to be committed to the Legislative Rulings in reporting news rather than publishing a news item that is totally baseless so that their credibility and integrity are not toppled; this is in the case that we have given them the benefit of the doubt and did not say that they have intended to formulate this news for the sake of causing Fitna and tarnishing the image of Hizb ut Tahrir.

The protest of Hizb ut Tahrir in Al-Riqqa was launched on Saturday 4/1/2014 from Al-Fawwaz Mosque in Central Riqqa to overthrow the conspiracy of Geneva and its allies of the coalition, opposition, and beneficiaries; it had no other objective.

It is well known of Hizb ut Tahrir, that it allies whoever allies Allah (swt) and His Messenger (saw), and opposes whoever opposes Allah (swt) and His Messenger (saw), it does not flatter nor does it fear in Allah the blame of the blamers, we have called many times for the end of the bloodshed of Muslims and directing the weapons to the regime who is behind this bloodshed; because these actions only serve the regime and the plans of America and the West.

Sheikh Abu Talha expounds on the meanings of Surah Al Asr which was revealed early stages of the mission of Prophet(sas). In his unique style and presentation he links the message of the Quran into our current scenario and the oppression and obstacles faced by the Islamic dawah carriers which are similar to those faced by the Prophet Mohammed (SAW) and the Sahaba (RA). He also extracts the method to carry the dawah from the way of the Prophet Mohammed SAW and his companions.

«أَكْثِرُوا ذِكْرَ هَاذِمِ اللَّذَّاتِ يَعْنِي الْمَوْتَ» "Increase the remembrance of that which destroys all desires - Death" [Al Tirmidhi 2229]

  • Published in Analysis
  •   |

Indeed death is worthy of remembrance. Unlike status, wealth and health, death is certain for every soul. It marks the move from the fleeting life of this world to the ever-lasting world of the hereafter. Allah (swt) said,

"Everyone shall taste death. And only on the Day of Resurrection shall you be paid your wages in full. And whoever is moved away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise, he indeed is successful. The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception." [Surah Aali-Imran 3: 185]

Moreover, there is no cheating Death, escaping death or delaying it. Every soul will die at a time known to Allah (swt). Allah (swt) said,

"When their term comes, then they can't put it off an hour, not hasten (it)." [Surah Yunus 10: 49]. And He (swt) said,

"No soul can ever die except by Allah's leave and at a term appointed." [Surah Al-Imran 3:145]

Thus is Death. It is certain and terminates this life. It occurs at a time that is known only to Allah (swt). So how is one to be regarding an impending and unannounced arrival? Moreover, an arrival that can seize us from any moment that we are born! The wise one is the one who is always prepared for its arrival, by performing the good actions and abstaining from evil and woe to the feeble one who meets it with regret. RasulAllah (saw), «الْكَيِّسُ مَنْ دَانَ نَفْسَهُ وَعَمِلَ لِمَا بَعْدَ الْمَوْتِ وَالْعَاجِزُ مَنْ أَتْبَعَ نَفْسَهُ هَوَاهَا وَتَمَنَّى عَلَى اللَّهِ» "The wise one is he who disciplined himself and worked for what is after death, and the feeble one is he who followed his desires, then made (vain) prayers to Allah". [Tirmidhi 2383] Woe to the feeble one who upon seeing death will seek to repent or return. Allah (swt) said,

"Of no effect is the repentance of those who continue to do evil deeds, until death faces one of them, and he says: ‘Now I repent' nor of those who die while they are disbelievers. For them have we prepared a painful torment" [An-Nisa 4: 18].

And Allah (swt) said,

"Until, when death comes to one of them, he says: "My Lord! Send me back, - So that I may do good in that which I have left behind!'' No! (Kalla) It is but a word that he speaks; and in front of them is Barzakh until the Day when they will be resurrected." [Al-Mu'minun 23: 99-100].
Woe to the feeble one for the word Kalla (No!) is a word that is used as a rebuke and the meaning is: "No, We will not respond to what he asks for and We will not accept it from him.'' Thus we hear of Al-Rabee' b. Khaytham who had dug a grave in his house, so that if he found hardness within his heart, he would enter it and lay down for as long as Allah wished and read from these ayaat: (رَبِّ ارْجِعُونِ - لَعَلِّى أَعْمَلُ صَـلِحاً فِيمَا تَرَكْتُ) "O my Lord! Send me back (to life) in order that I may work righteousness in the things I neglected" repeating it, then he would reply to himself saying: "Oh, Rabee', here, you have been returned, so work."

It is known that our time in Barzakh will continue, ending only when we are summoned for Judgment, on the Day of Judgment. Thus, once in the Barzakh there is no return to this life, only forward to Judgment. Mujahid said, Al-Barzakh is a barrier between this world and the Hereafter. Muhammad bin Ka`b said, "Al-Barzakh is what is between this world and the Hereafter, neither they are the people of this world, eating and drinking, nor are they with the people of the Hereafter, being rewarded or punished for their deeds.'' Thus it is a place where there is no deed that can be performed, let alone save from the Judgment which heralds punishment or reward. So, when a man asks, when will the Day of Judgment come for me, personally, as a man, let him consider that as soon as he dies, it is time for his Judgment.

Thus the wise one is the one who heeds this certainty and works for it every waking moment of every day. He is the one who is aware of the wisest of us all and the best of us all, RasulAllah (saw), for (saw) was always deeply aware and prepared for death. Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq (ra) once said to him (saw): "Your hair has become grey, O Messenger of Allah." So he saw said: «شَيَّبَتْنِي هُودٌ وَالْوَاقِعَةُ وَالْمُرْسَلَاتُ وَعَمَّ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ وَإِذَا الشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَت» "[Surah] Hud and its sisters have made my hair grey: Al-Waqi'a, ‘Amma Yatasaa'alun and Itha Al-Shamsu Kuwwirat." [Tirmidhi 3219] And it was narrated by Ibn Najjar, of Ibn ‘Umar that the Messenger of Allah (saw) overheard a reader reading,

"With Us are Fetters (to bind them), and a Fire (to burn them)" [Al-Muzammil 73: 12]

and he (saw) fainted. So aware were the Companions of death. Not only was he (saw) aware and prepared, he (saw) called upon us to be aware of death and prepared of it. This is why the Messenger of Allah (saw) stressed the remembrance of death and to pre-pare for it, as he stressed the visiting of graves and praying for peace upon them, as it is the best admonition and the best of reminders. Abi Tharr (ra) said The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: «زُورُوا الْقُبُورَ فَإِنَّهَا تُذَكِّرُكُمْ الْآخِرَةَ» "Visit the graves, as it will be a reminder of the Akhirah" [Ibn Majah 1558]. The Messenger of Allah saw said, «أَكْثِرُوا ذِكْرَ هادم اللَّذَّاتِ يَعْنِي الْمَوْتَ» "Increase the remembrance of that which destroys all desires" [Al Tirmidhi 2229].

So let us all today be mindful and take heed. Let us consider the terminator of life's pleasure and let us be prepared. Let us strive and let us not waste a moment seeking the pleasure of Allah (swt). Let us strive to know of all the obligations and fulfill them. Let us take care to be aware of the prohibitions and abstain from them. Let us work to establish Islam in our individual lives as well as the collective life of this Ummah, as a Khilafah "Caliphate", implementing Islam, protecting it and spreading its light to all of humankind.

South Sudan is America's Failed State

  • Published in News & Comment
  •   |

South Sudan, a new nation born out of American endeavours to control the country's vast oil supply and provide ‘Israel' with access to the African continent to meet its oil and security needs is quickly descending into the abyss of chaos. Washington is struggling to prevent a full-scale civil war. The usual culprits are two Western agents - President Salva Kiir and his former vice-president Riek Machar - at loggerheads with each other. Both are using inflammatory tribal politics to stake their claim to rule the fledgling African nation of 10 million people.

In July 2013, the first signs of a political power struggle surfaced within the Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM), the ruling party when President Kiir sacked his entire government in an attempt to curb the ambitions of his powerful vice president. Tensions within the ranks of SPLM soon engulfed not only the Sudan People's Liberation Army (SPLA) but also South Sudan's two largest communities: Mr Kiir's Dinka, the largest of South Sudan's tribes, versus Mr Machar's Nuer tribe. However, major violence first erupted between two communities on December 15th 2013, when Dinkas in the presidential guard in the capital Juba sought to disarm their Nuer colleagues. The situation worsened when President Kiir publicly accused Machar of plotting a coup against him.

The hastily arranged talks in Ethiopia at the behest of America, threats to rein in Machar by President of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni-America's strong man in the region-the mobilisation of 7500 UN peace keepers and other measures have hitherto failed to halt the violence. What was once touted as President Obama's major foreign policy triumph is now more looking like a major disaster.
In 2005, as part of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) signed between SPLM and the Khartoum, Sudanese living in southern Sudan had a right vote to for independence in a referendum. In July 2011, South Sudanese voted overwhelming under US auspices to cede from Sudan. The new country was essentially curved out of Sudan by America to exert greater control over the oil resources in the South, and to limit China's growing influence. Nonetheless, the country was prone to extreme bouts of civil strife, which prompted the CIA in 2010 to issue a warning: ‘over the next five years...a new mass killing or genocide is most likely to occur in southern Sudan'.

The marriage of convenience between Kirr and Machar to unite against a common enemy the Sudanese government in Khartoum was bound to fall apart. As soon as the South Sudan became independent and Washington became pre-occupied with other matters, relations between Kirr and Machar nose-dived, eventually culminating into the killing spree witnessed today.

Regardless of America's military superiority and her capacity to generate billions of dollars in aid, America has a terrible record when it comes to nation building. American ventures into Somalia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and other countries have only left behind a trail of destruction and disillusionment with freedom and democracy. South Sudan is just another one of America's failed states.

This is ample evidence that America cannot nation build or stabilise countries it invades through diplomacy or political work. The longer this carries on, the more futile becomes America's military superiority in turning battlefield gains into political bargaining chips, which can be exploited by American politicians to implement political solutions that have a more durable shelf-life. But perhaps, more damaging than America's failure to nation build is the perception that America cannot get the job done i.e. America is good at toppling regimes but nothing else.

The Betrayal of Islam and Muslims by the Armies

  • Published in Analysis
  •   |

At a time when the Islamic Ummah is reviving from its decline and is demanding an end of Western domination, the Muslim armies are defending the current illegal regimes that were imposed by the Kufr West upon the Islamic Ummah. Instead of standing with the Ummah and its demand for liberation from Western domination through ridding it of these regimes, replacing them with all that Allah (swt) favored the people with, the Deen of Islam and its rule; these armies began to defend these regimes, even if it required them to commit massacres against the Muslim people, who rose up against the treacherous rulers, as is seen in Egypt. Regrettably, the armies seem to stand on the side of Falsehood against the Haq and the Ummah.

In view of this sad picture, with the action of the armies towards the Ummah, which undoubtedly has its causes, we need to evaluate those causes that brought the armies to stand with the tyrants. We must understand if this depressing situation is permanent or only temporary, such that it can be overcome in the coming days, especially in the light of the Khilafah "Caliphate" State, which is coming very soon, Insha'Allah.

As for the causes for the support of the Muslim armies for the pro-Western regimes that govern with Kufr; there are several causes; most notably:

1. The presence of pro-Western high-ranking military leaders aiming to invest their positions in satisfying their egos and amass fortunes. Therefore, they grip onto their positions, dispense of their military honor, in order to maintain their positions. They become Generals for personal wealth rather than weapons and war. Such leaders are not competent to lead the Muslim armies, and they undoubtedly are the cause of dishonoring the Ummah before its enemies. They are the bridge that the West uses to intervene in the affairs of the Ummah, and even control the Ummah, by their guarding the Western regimes that are imposed on the Ummah. Such leaders lead the armies of Muslim countries to protect the thrones of tyrants and the current illegal regimes. And if it happened that they have to lead them in real wars, they lead them in the wars against the Ummah for the benefit of the Kaffir occupiers, such as the armies who were engaged in the war against Iraq with coalition forces from the Western Crusaders. Or in the case of Afghanistan, there was participation of some Muslim armies, such as the Pakistani army, some battalions of the UAE army, and others, to help the crusader coalition forces, led by America, towards the occupation and destruction of Afghanistan. However, if the military leaders were like the leaders of the Muslim armies that history has witnessed, from amongst the Companions (ra) and their successors from those who lived under the rule of Islam for over thirteen centuries, the Ummah would not live in humiliation and weakness. Indeed, there is a big difference between the current rulers leaders and the Prophet Muhammad (saw), the first commander of the Muslim army. When Muslims arranged themselves in rows in Badr, the Prophet (saw) began to straighten the rows with the help of an arrow. Accidentally, he pricked Sawad bin Ghaziyyah in his stomach, trying to push him back, saying, "استو يا سواد" "Sawad. Fall in line." Sawad replied, "O Messenger of Allah, you have hurt me. Allow me retribution." The Prophet (saw) raised his shirt to bare his stomach and said, "استقد" "Go ahead with the retribution." Sawad bent down and kissed it. He (saw) asked, "ما حملك على هذا يا سواد؟" "What made you do that Sawad?" He replied, "O Messenger of Allah. You can see what we are faced with. I thought, ‘Let my final act be that my skin touches yours.'" The Prophet (saw) supplicated for him. Once a Muslim leader was served with good food, the leader asked if soldiers were served with this type of food in the army? They replied no. He said, then do not serve me but with that which you serve the general soldiers.

2. The separation of the Islamic Aqeedah in Muslim armies from the current military doctrine. The doctrine of armies in the Islamic world should be the Islamic Aqeedah, but the military doctrine in the current armies is separated from the Islamic doctrine. Therefore, it's not surprising that the Muslim soldier fights his brother in Islam in conflicts of nationalism, racism or other forms of ignorance. It is as if the Islamic Aqeedah that bonds them has no effect in their actions, their disputes or their fighting. This is why we witness that the Islamic pride does not incite the soldier in the armies of the Muslim world to mobilize, when he hears and sees the woes of his brothers and sisters in different parts of the world, including the country that he is in! Thus, the Muslim soldier does not link the Islamic Aqeedah that binds him and the oppressed, who call him for their rescue. The examples are many, the least of which are not Muslims in Syria, Burma, Palestine, Kashmir and Afghanistan. You do not find the soldier in the Muslim armies linking his Iman, that he connects with his Salah and some other worships, especially the Sunnah Ibaadat, but he does not connect it with his duty of supporting his oppressed brothers and sisters. So despite reading the Ayah

"If they seek your help in Deen, helping is obliged upon you." [Surah Al-Anfaal 8:72] However, they do not associate this verse with the duty of their support of their brothers and sisters in Deen. This is even though they have memorized the story of the Muslim woman who sought help crying "وا معتصماه" "O Mu'tasim," and as a response Mu'tasim extending help, freeing her and those who were with her, and opening the lands within which is found Ankara in the course of doing so. However, they read this story only to bask in the glories of their forefathers, but not to follow in their honorable footsteps.

The Islamic Aqeedah must be the basis of the military doctrine in the Muslims' armies.  The duty of the Muslim army is to protect the Islamic belief, the Muslims, the Islamic State and to secure the spreading of the message of Islam for all humankind. And the Muslim army must stand against anything that threatens these matters. Moreover the Islamic armies must sacrifice their lives to defend them and to preserve these vital matters.

3. The absence of an Islamic culture in the Muslim armies, rather they are educated with non-Islamic cultures. Consequently these armies are weak before the Kaffir occupiers. The West imposes its culture as a condition to supplying our armies with weapons. It subjects our armies to take courses that glorify and adorn the corrupt Western freedoms and democracy, as well as the fight against Islam under the pretext of fighting terrorism. This has occurred to a point that our armies now target our people and consider us terrorists. So, we find military intelligence targeting those that are committed to Islam and working for the revival of the Islamic Ummah. Yet they do not care about the Western countries' conspiracies against the Ummah. For example, the Pakistani military is cultured to satisfy and please America and serve their interests. So, the Pakistani Army has adopted an internal enemy as defined by America, "political Islam and jihadists." It has considered them as an enemy and neglects the external enemies, America and India. It has started curbing the Mujahideen who resist the American occupation in the region, maintaining that they are terrorists that threaten the "national interests." And in Pakistan also, the military intelligence has started spying on the dawah carriers amongst the military and civilians, who are working hard for the revival of the Islamic Ummah, through the return of the Khilafah "Caliphate" State.

The army must be provided with military education of the highest level, so as to raise the level of thinking as much as possible. In addition, it is a must to educate every person in the military with Islamic culture that enables him to understand Islam, so that the soldier is aware of his real enemy, and fights to defeat them, acknowledging his Shariah responsibility, acting as RasulAllah (saw) said,

"كُلُّ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ عَلَى ثَغْرَةٍ مِنْ ثُغَرِ الْإِسْلَامِ، اللَّهَ اللَّهَ لَا يُؤْتَى الْإِسْلَامُ مِنْ قِبَلِك"

"Every man from the Muslims is on a post of the posts of Islam, he has to protect Islam from his post and not allow defeat from his post."

Now, after all of this is there any hope from these armies?

The answer is definitely yes. This is even though the armies of the Muslims in general have failed the Ummah due to the above-mentioned causes, which has humiliated the Ummah before its enemies. However, there are many amongst the Muslim armies who are sincerely waiting for the right opportunity to provide the victory for Islam and Muslims. They know that their soul and rizq is in the hands of Allah (swt) alone. The revival of the Ummah dependents on such men, who are the true descendants of Khalid bin Waleed (ra) who said, whilst he was on his death bed,

"I've fought in so many battles seeking martyrdom that there is no spot in my body left without a scar or a wound made by a spear or sword. And yet here I am, dying on my bed like an old camel. May the eyes of the cowards never rest." Yes, he (ra) was a soldier that deserved to be called the Sword of Allah, the sword that was raised in the face of the Kuffar and the enemies of Islam and Muslims.

We can say that most elements of the armies in Muslim countries carry out the orders with their hearts gripped by pain. They are indeed part of the Ummah. Once they have the right opportunity to free themselves from the agent leaders they will rush to do so.

Hope in the armies is great. The Ummah will not lose hope in the sincere from amongst them. Very soon the Ummah and the armies will be free from the Kuffar West and the Muslims will be pleased by the sincere ones Insha'Allah. RasulAllah (saw) said,

"وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ الْجَنَّةَ تَحْتَ ظِلاَلِ السُّيُوفِ"

"Know that Paradise is under the shades of swords."
