Ameer's Facebook Answer to Question: Using Artificial Intelligence in the Field of Photography, Drawing, and Videos

Is it permissible in the Shariah to use artificial intelligence to create images of humans or animals? And likewise to create animations or video clips for da‘wah purposes or in general? If creating images of humans using AI is permissible, must these images abide by the Shariah rules? Is altering an image considered “drawing by hand,” or is it something else? Or is it an “automatic generation” based on algorithms and not direct human action?

The University of Copenhagen and the University of Southern Denmark have shut down "quiet rooms," primarily used by Muslim students for prayer, following political pressure from the Danish government. Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has falsely claimed that prayer rooms in educational institutions lead to “negative social control," “religious pressure,” and “oppression.”
