On February 18, 2025, the Sudan's Rapid Support Forces (RSF) convened at Nairobi's Kenyatta International Convention Centre to discuss forming a unity government for the territories they control in the Sudan. The Kenyan authorities assert that its involvement is solely to facilitate “peace efforts in Sudan”.
