Report on the Khilafah "Caliphate" Conference in Istanbul

On Sunday 05 Jumada I 1434 AH corresponding to 17 March 2013, Hizb ut Tahrir/ Wilayah Turkey organized a conference in Istanbul on its eighty-ninth calendar anniversary of the fall of the Khilafah "Caliphate" titled: "Ash-Sham is moving towards victory, despite oppression and the collar of treason and the international forces of tyranny." Alhamdulillah, the attendance was impressive with a packed hall that accommodated one thousand five hundred people with many attendants left to stand.

The conference commenced with the mediator and writer for the magazine, Radical Change" issued by Hizb ut Tahrir in Turkey, Brother Musa Bay Oghlu. Following the opening speech, Hafiz of the Quran al-Kareem Fadel Karachc recited blessed verses from the Holy Quran.

A short film was presented to the audience concerning the developments on the Syrian arena and the rebels embracing the Khilafah "Caliphate" and Hizb ut Tahrir which calls them to establish it. Afterwards, a video speech was delivered by the Director of The Central Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir Engineer Osman Bakhach appealed to the Islamic Ummah in general and to the Muslims specifically in Turkey, to fulfill their obligation towards their brothers in Syria.

Research journalist Ahmed Far'ol from the newspaper "Winee Aqd" emphasized in his speech on the inevitable link between Jerusalem and Damascus and the key to liberating Jerusalem is through Ash-Sham.

Afterwards, columnist Abdul Rahim Shin from the newspaper "Time Turk" stressed that Muslims in Turkey: their minds, hearts, sentiments are wholeheartedly in Ash-Sham and what is happening there. However, they have to work seriously in Turkey to grasp the Nusrah -the authentic victory- for their brothers in Syria.

And then researcher journalist Hamza Ir's speech focused on the signs of the resumption of Islamic way of life and the implementation of the Ahkam Shariah are imminent, Inshallah. He also spoke of the heavy sentences handed down by the AKP upon the Shabab of Hizb ut Tahrir in Turkey who work to establish the Khilafah "Caliphate".

To take the podium was the Deputy of The Central Media Office of Hizb ut-Tahrir Brother Amer al-Hashlamoun gave a detailed talk about the political reality in Syria and the international conspiracies devised against the revolution in Ash-Sham, stressing in his Central Media speech the unity of the Muslim blood and the necessity of giving Nusrah to our Muslim brothers to the fullest capacity.

The conference concluded with a speech by Brother Mahmoud Carr, Head of the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah Turkey, who gave his warmest greetings to the Muslims in Syria, stressing the Sham revolution is fully aware since it is not a revolution against the regime of the Baath Party, rather it is a revolution against all man-made systems. It will not be satisfied, Inshallah until only Islam is applied fully in all aspects of life.

In conclusion, the honorable Sheikh Husamadeen rose to the podium, and after speaking with words from the heart to the heart, gave a heartfelt duaa for the people of Ahl Ash-Sham compelling the entire audience to stand, giving their sincerest "Ameen" praying to Allah Almighty to grant victory to the people of Syria, granting them triumph with the doors of Khair opening for them.
After the conference, recorded interviews were conducted with some of the panelists and audience about their opinion of the conference and the Sham revolution.
